Noodles were dry and cold and tasteless (Combo B), chicken and prawn pieces were too heavily battered. Unable to finish the meal. The most active server for take-out was a boy about 9 years of age.

Quick bite to eat. Ordering two combos to share. Plenty of food with left overs. Great service 👏. Highly recommend 5 stars. We will return.
The people was very nice. The food was ready on time. The host was friendly and they were focus. Thanks for making my daughter and mine Birthday great. I would come back again and again for the great food.
We have lived in Oliver for 32 years and ordered food for take out last night for the first time in 2 years. The food was so terrible. The chow mein was cold, dry and had no meat or veggies in it even though we...ordered Pork. The rice was cold, chewy and flavourless. The almond chicken was also cold, hard, barely edible. It was like all the food had been sitting there for a couple of days. Very disappointed.More
My good friend Dylan placed a food order For 2 combo e’s , the guy said it’s be an hour wait , left my buddy in the cold with a dead phone starving, unbelievably unprofessional I’m never coming to this dump again .
We ordered some “specialty items from the wok” menu tonight. All three of them looked and tasted similar, loaded with green pepper as a filler I think, as there was the same in each container. We called to complain as one was suppose to be...beef and Broccoli, no broccoli at all. The chef used carrots, green pepper and mushroom in all dishes. Very little protein. They would not provide a refund on the 3 dishes only a small discount on my next order. His rationale was beef and shrimp are expensive. Won’t be eating here again. Quite expensive for a whole lot of green pepper! The picture shows what was left after we picked a bit of the protein out. The dishes are 3/4 full.More
For all the amazing places to eat in Oliver,BC area this isn’t one of them. The food was just okay. Not much flavour at all. We ordered food for pick up and the positive was it was steaming hot.
Excellent Chinese restaurant with great menu and delicious food. Compliment to the chef. Service was fast and courteous by Louis. Highly recommend curry chicken, satay chicken, sweet and sour pork, mushrooms with vegetables and wonton soup . The location is very easy to found and...the place is so cozy . Price affordable and generous portions. We , party of 3, will go back soon.More
Love the food, lots of differnt dishes in buffet also very good and cooked properly- also tried take out and was also delicious. Only problem was not so clean - under hot trays of foods in buffet where water stays to keep warm was not...clean- should not be scummy and crusted, not clean. - needs a good scrub and clean- did not see kitchen. I would still eat here because it is so hard to find that good taste.More
good food to take home. Not a huge fan of the buffet as presented. the family meals for 2, 4 and 6 are a good deal
We were staying at the Coast Oliver hotel and found this Chinese cuisine was a very close walk. We were two families traveling and everyone agreed on Chinese food and it was logical for large groups. We were greeted warmly and quickly seated at a...large table. Our server had difficulty speaking or understanding English. That’s OK with us as we are very understanding folks. It proved problematic as the menu was difficult to understand. We chose a family meal for 6 because we were 7 and one extra dish of vegetables. We negotiated half soup and egg rolls as our group was split on that choice. They were very kind and lovely people, but they can’t cook. The only passable item was the soup. All other dishes had serious flaws. Lack of taste was dominant while texture and color were a close second. This place has the opportunity to be special, but they can’t cook. I hope they get help. We won’t be back. Wishing this could have been a better meal for our family.More
We have driven by many times. It sorta looks a bit grungy from the outside. Tonight, we decided to give it a try. We split a large Wor Won Ton and a dinner for one. The soup was very, very good. Hot broth, crispy, crispy...vegetables, pork, Shrimp, and very tasty won tons. The fried rice and the veggie chop suey were great. Deep fried prawns were so-so. Funny menu pricing....dinner for one is $11-$12; dinner for two is $30?? Very polite server. $35 with a pot of tea, tax, and a decent tip. Not bad! A lot of food. We couldn’t finish it all.More
Long wait short of staff to accommodate patrons made excuses for poor and inattentive service offered drinks nonalcoholic to help those waiting outside.the Topeka,la Olive garden.
Used to have much better food many years ago when it was under different ownership. Most of the food is reheated, if you order take-out for a combo you will realize this quickly as pickup times for everything seem to suspiciously always be under 15...minutes no matter when you order. Some days it's fresh and the meal is solid, other days it's very clearly reheated and the quality suffers.. That said I've never gotten sick from eating here, just had some unpleasant meals. The almond chicken is great. No complaints there. The chicken chow mein is a joke but it has always been a joke for as long as I can remember, containing only a few slices of extremely thin rectangles of chicken per order. Pork fried rice and sweet and sour pork are usually tough, dry and have a suspicious colour.. they make it really obvious when the food has been reheated, moreso than anything else on the menu. The chop suey is terrible. It used to be my favorite but when the owners changed a few years ago the recipe for the sauce they use in it changed and it became fishy/gamey tasting- I stopped ordering it altogether. Posting this review in hope that this place improves...More
We were told the Chinese Food here was good!Well l have to tell you it was discusting!! We stopped in for the smorg on Saturday it said the smog started at 4pm we got there at 4:30 about half the smorg had been put out.We...decided to try the fryed rice and the chow mein!.First off both were barely warm! Then the sweet and sour came out.And it was cold as were the egg rolls!!!No taste! The chow mein consisted of noodles that's All! The wonton came out it was the only thing hot!The vegetables in it were raw like the broccoli and zucchini and in big chunks!Couldn't find any Dumplings the waitress said to dig to the bottom and we found a few .And l ate two which tasted off!!!There should be a law preventing people from serving this type of food to the public!! The first thing l did when l got home was head for the throne room! Not pleasant believe me!! Please don't waste your money! You would get more enjoyment from a ham sandwich believe me!! That's my story and l'm sticking to it!!!More
