This was one of my favourite dining/travelling experiences ever! The food was delicious and fresh (made on site from their own and local ingredients), the service was impeccable, the staff were super friendly, and the environment was beautiful and comfortable. They were also very understanding...and accomodating to people with food allergies (they made an amazing gluten free bread and crackers!). The kitchen also overlooks the dining area which made it a nice, personal experience. I would 100% recommend this experience for all kinds of events - from couples, family and friend group events, parties, receptions, you name it!More

A memorable dining experience to be certain! Chris Van Hooydonk and his youthful and enthusiastic team created a multi course dinner for our office party. Each course was crafted from the freshest local ingredients in the wide-open kitchen right before our eyes. The creation and...the thought behind each course as well as the sourcing of ingredients was carefully explained by Chris or his Sous Chef Kyle. Wine glasses were kept topped up by Mary. We had Chris come to our rented chalet in Big White for a private chef experience. We were 11 women and he treated the most perfect menu! The food he cooked for us was delicious and each element of every dish was thoroughly explained. You...can taste the love that he puts into his dishes. There is not enough room to write all I would like to say our our Backyard Farms visit. From the moment you walk in to the regal, yet cozy and welcoming, dining hall and kitchen you feel like nothing else is important other than the...experience you and your friends are about to enjoy. Chef Chris and his team have thought of everything and have put their custom, fresh, tasteful touch on every course. From the charcuterie starter, right down to the apres tea/coffee selecting local products either right from Chef Chris's own garden, to supporting local artisans from the surrounding area or within Canada. Every tastefully presented plate was thoroughly explained along with wine pairings for a truly wholesome and devine dance with the palate! If you are coming to Oliver/Osoyoos this is an absolute must do. But check the calendar and book asap as this best kept secret isn't a secret anymore! And don't forget to take home the fresh baked bread and pickled vegetables and preserves that they are creating right while you dine. 11 out of 10 stars!More
