We looked all over the Lavena because the reviews we so good. We finally settled for The Captains Daughter Restaurant. Which was Lavena renamed by the new owner Brooke Swift. The food is fantastic. Read my review of The Captain's Daughter Restaurant.

Lavena's Catch and Cafe is one of the best things to happen to the Digby Neck area! The food is beyond, the waitresses are helpful whenever a question is asked; and the cook - well, the food is beyond!

Very reasonable prices. Quite the tasty fare. The chowder was packed with delicious bites/tastes. The halibut was extremely fresh. Preparation is not fussy. Desserts should be considered. My wife had a soup special (sante fe style) and thought it was pared well with the cheese...More
