Dropped in for a late lunch ... Wow what a great decision. The food was fantastic, great value with some really good choices available. The two French waitresses were super friendly and made us feel so welcome.

Awful menu unless you like fish...rude staff. Good atmosphere in evening if youre just having a drink but if youre eating, you will feel rushed out. However, the areas beautiful, Portmagee is worth a stop on the Skellig Ring. Theres a little bakery and another bar, but Portmagees so small thats all there is to choose from! Cahersiveen is the... We arrived late after the kitchen was closed, but after a long day of travel the staff made us sandwiches anyway. Our service was good, and we actually had dinner there the next time as well. Fish sandwich and seafood pasta were both delicious, we had mussels as an appetizer which were lovely as well. Would recommend if you're staying... More

We were at the Bridge Bar in July after a day at the Skelligs and dinner at the restaurant next door. What I initially thought was going to be just another night in just another pub took a fantastic turn when the owner invited whoever felt like singing up to the stage to play, sing and perform. It was an... More

There's not very many places to eat in Portmagee, and I do feel the food could be better. It is your classic pub food/Irish food, with not much imagination. The food was good and basic and fine for a quick lunch while you're waiting for the ferry to Skellig Michael. The out door seating is nice!

The food was very nice and the pub/restaurant is lovely and really traditional. First, i was very excited about the experience as it the restaurant had been recommended to me, but I must admit I was a bit disappointed with the hospitality. I wish the staff could be more welcoming and warm towards the customers.

I'm a regular to this place as i visit valentia often. The food is always so yummy, the fish and chips especially. They have a good menu with lots of daily specials and the fish is all fresh. If its a nice sunny evening enjoy your food in there outdoor seating area, there's a great view and the atmosphere is... More

I would love to give this 5 stars cause it's a great place but I didn't like the flavor of my meal. It could be that I'm use to a different type of fish and chips back in the states but considering this part of the world created the fish and chips combo I just expected more. It was good... More

Very popular place, and very crowded on the Saturday night, but the staff handled the crowd excellently. The food was delicious.

My son and I visited to enjoy a day at the Skelligs. This restaurant had great service and good food. It was so good, in fact, that we ate lunch there two days in a row. I would highly recommend the Bridge for a good meal!

Description
The Bridge Bar at The Moorings, Portmagee is open all year round. Great food served all day with traditional music at weekends. Trips to Skellig Michael can be arranged and packages are available from April to September. Cois Cuain gift shop is open from March to January. The Moorings is located in a fishing village with a working harbour, post office, general store, coffee shop, bar, restaurant overlooking Valentia Island. There's nothing more endearing than knowing that some of the Hollywood's biggest movie stars like Mark Hamill and Director J.J Abrams have visited the sleepy village of Portmagee, and even sat in the Bridge Bar local pub where Mark Hamill poured a pint of Guinness behind the bar. The Moorings was home to the pre-production team of the Star Wars VII movie and you can visit the room where all the magic took place and listen to the stories told by the staff.
