After shopping in the locality we alighted on this gem. Plenty of parking and a very accessible farm shop led us into a huge airy barn with tasty and unusual treats including the "cook" range of prepared dishes, the next outlet being MILES away.[Nice surprise] .Upstairs we found a charming granary with an extensive menu an chose a smoked salmon... We called in at the Beadlam Grange Farmshop and Tearoom for coffee on our way to Rievaulx Abbey having read the rave reviews on Tripadvisor. We were not disappointed. The farm shop has lots of fabulous fresh produce. The tearoom has a range of fresh cakes, we all tried something different, I had rhubarb and ginger cake! The best coffee... More

Lovely relaxed barn setting, we ate upstairs which was very nice. Friendly and efficient young waitresses. Hubby had chicken and leek pie special, came with creamy mash and veg, followed by lemon meringue pie, I had scrambled egg and smoked salmon on granary toast, ample portions of nice homely cooked food which we both enjoyed. Lovely produce in the farm... More

Lovely farm shop and probably the best gift shop we encountered in north Yorks. Try the vanilla slices, quite remarkable. Cheers!

Having last visited here 8 years ago, I thought it was time to visit again, so I booked the last table for the 1.30 sitting and the 6 of us sat in the shop by the stairs. We had a fabulous lunch. My sister is celiac and they provided a wheat free starter, main course and pudding. We shared starters... More

A nicely done re-envisioning of a farm turned country restaurant destination. We ate upstairs in the tearoom (also has wine) and I had a fabulous fresh salad with Brie and bacon. Getting there on scenic roads is half the fun.

Description
The Granary Tearoom The Old Granary is full of charm and character with its original oak beams and small latted windows and is a delightful place to meet up with friends and enjoy traditional farmhouse fayre. It is extremely comfortable and warm (a bitterly cold day in December at the time of writing!). All the hot water and heating in the Farmshop & Tearoom is supplied from a very efficient woodchip burner which is Mark's pride and joy!!We serve freshly brewed Yorkshire Tea and Coopers Coffee together with home baked scones, cakes and pastries, farmhouse breakfasts, cooked lunches and afternoon teas with "Specials" on the menu every day. All meals are cooked fresh to order and the ingredients may be purchased in the Farmshop! On Sundays we serve a traditional Sunday lunch of Roast Beef & Yorkshire Pudding and booking is advisable. The Farmshop & Tearoom is licensed and we offer an excellent selection of wines and beers etc. For customers unable to negotiate the stairsthere are two tables in the Farmshop with waitress service.Meals can be taken at the picnic tables in the covered foldyard next to the Childrens' Play Area and during the summer months we have tables and chairs outside in the sunshine!Farm Shop Customers can enjoy a "Unique Farm Shopping Experience" in lovely surroundings and purchase fresh farm produce "a complete meal" and enjoy tea and coffee and farmhouse baking in our traditional Granary Tearoom. We provide ample freeparking, toilets and disabled access.Pride of place in the Farmshop is our fresh meat counter with our own resident Butcher who can offer you advice about particular cuts of meat and cooking instructions! The counter is full of our home grown beef together with lamb, pork, local free range poultry, game, sausages, burgers, "Jenny's Wellies", Mark's Tractor Wheels, Chicken parcels, Yorkshire bacon, gammon and so much more!!Fresh fruit and vegetables are delivered daily and to compliment the fresh, seasonal produce we have freezers full of a great selection of loose fruit and vegetables which are all prepared ready to go straight into the oven. We also sell "Cooks" Frozen Ready Meals which are very popular with our customers. They are excellent quality and very good value.
