We went for the steak option, very good quality steak. Would have preferred it all to have been served hotter (ie: hot plates would have improved the experience). Wine by the glass, sauvignon blanc, excellent. Pudding, exceptional. It had everything you could want. Decadent! Similar menu for evening, but twice the price - why!!!! Would not have paid double the... More

Absolutely blown away by the service the staff and the quality of the meals all cooked on site . I had the wild boar 1st time I have had it really pleased with the meal and the presentation looked and was really appetising . My partner had the chicken but discussed with the management about allergies and was presented with... More

Varied menu and good, freshly cooked food. Children could draw on paper table covering and kept themselves entertained. Good service from friendly staff.

We were staying across the street and walked over for a pint and dinner. Food was great and service was very quick. My friend was very happy that they had gluten-free bread.

Despite being off-season, on walking into this inn at lunchtime, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I ordered a ham and cheese toastie sandwich which took a little while to arrive but the wait was well worth it. The bread was thick and the sandwich was substantial with a helping of coleslaw and salad. A real winner.

We came for lunch after a strenuous walk around Ebbor Gorge. The place was not very busy, about three tables as well as us. We decided to just order a main course and the menu looked promising. The downside was that we waited for 45 minutes for our meal to arrive despite several assurances that it was on the way.... More

Went with a party of 6 for Sunday lunch. Very tasty food and portions were much larger than last time - roast chicken was half a chicken! Great roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese, broccoli, carrot, swede etc and excellent gravy. Between us we had chicken , beef and pork and everyone was very happy. Desserts were also good - the cheeseboard... More

As always a friendly greeting in our local dog friendly pub. Didn't have the burgers on the menu which was a bit if a disappointment coz the Wook burger and the Boar burger are legendary. Still a very warming wings & ribs certainly did the job. And don't forget the desserts. Sticky Date & Pecan is out of this world.... More

Was surprised it was not as good as i thought it would be . Always seen good reviews about the inn .Unfortunatly when you are paying around £13 for a roast i would expect better . The potatoes were hard and the beef was rather fatty . Sorry to put this but when i'm paying around £40 for 3 meals... More

This is the other option for eating than the rather bland Bistro in the hotel opposite, good local ales, nice lunch, friendly lady behind the bar who gave excellent tourist advice, good value for money.
