Staying nearby with friends who had visited once before. They recommended the hot sandwiches which were served with lovely chips and green garnish. Truly first class and the beers were to. Service was friendly, helpful and prompt. Can thoroughly recommend this establishment.

My husband and I stopped by on a whim as we were staying nearby at a local hotel. We were warmly welcomed, and had lots of choices. The liver was the best I had ever eaten...and my husband's fish & chips was amazing! The real...More

Following good reviews called in for early evening family dinner. Welcome ok but got the distinct impression that "locals" would probably have had a warmer one. Sat in the restaurant area which was rather drab and soulless, no room in the bar area that looked...More

Good food, a good pint, good staff and a good friendly atmosphere. We couldn't have asked for more from this quaint village.

Great little pub, loved the food and beer. It was very busy, mid week evening so didn't expect that, but service was great. The streets around were crowded with cars so parking can be a little difficult.

Visited this pub as a family of 11 after a day out in Cheddar and had booked ahead as this is one of the few pubs in the area that would take bookings. This was our first time here and we weren't quite sure what...More

After a short walk from our B&B we found this warm and popular pub providing a good range of excellent food and drinks. The staff were all friendly and attentive and the locals were easy to chat with.

We visited the day after Mothering Sunday for an evening meal and wondered if they'd be all 'cooked out' having had a very busy weekend. We were made very welcome from the phone call to check they were serving. The pork was cooked perfectly, I...More

Originally 3 cottages knocked into one, The Ring O Bells is a 14th century pub in the heart of the picturesque village of Wookey, 2 miles from the Cathedral City of Wells, the smallest City in the UK and 6.5 Miles from Cheddar & Glastonbury. The pub still retains it's original inglenook fireplaces and visible stone work. The pub was recently taken over earlier in 2016 by Graham and Denis who are both local to the area, Graham is our head chef and is quite famous round these parts for his fantastic food! You will always be welcomed with a great meal and a chance to sample one of our many local ales. With a friendly team, a mouth watering menu, a large range of beverages and a fantastic atmosphere we are sure once you have visited your only regret will be having to leave.
