Breakfast was excellent although slightly pricey for a full English. Surroundings could not have been better with excellent views over to Holme Moss. The restaurant was up to a standard you would expect from this type of venue. The wine tour was very informative and...More

Lunch on the verandah was perfectly adequate but there are still problems with the management of this wonderful venue, now refurbished and extended after the tragic fire. The menu is nice and varied and the food very nicely presented and tasty, but only after a...More

Absolutly terrible and such an embarrasing short time in a beautiful location. The afternoon tea was not as advertised at all, with One platter served between 2 or 3, the menu had said a runny scotch Egg and then pork pie with Brown sauce -...More

Average is a bit mean really as we really enjoyed the experience but I'm afraid 'Very Good' would be over-egging it. We came for the Afternoon Tea & Wine Tour. The former was very tasty, no complaints there & the wine talk was great fun,...More

This place is absolutely stunning. Well worth a visit- probably a good idea to book at busy times - especially if you want a seat in the new conservatory- just gorgeous

Food was nice in restaurant, staff were a bit rushed, and we never saw the dessert menu! Wine tour was with the very funny and knowledgeable Dean.

This establishment does not come under the value for money banner for the type of food on offer. Decent enough quality but not quite enough to command a higher than average price tag despite efforts to justify it on the plate presentation. The kitchen desperately...More

Not exactly on its doorstep but you could go into Holmfirth and try Brambles or The Old Bridge. Or a little further afield Jacobs Well tavern is a welcoming and cosy pub in Honley (on the Holmfirth road.
