Miller's Church Street Patio; Seafood and Chophouse is located behind the Maritime Inn Port Hawkesbury on Reeves Street, serves breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week. We run daily features for both lunch and dinner. We have highchairs and coloring books available for the little ones, and we have the premiere patio in Port Hawkesbury. Come in and join us for our delicious seafood chowder, and choose from a wide array of entrees, sandwiches, pastas, etc. If it's not on the menu, make sure to ask. We try to do whatever we can to make your dining experience as pleasant and memorable as possible. And if it's a drink you're in the mood for, we do have a full bar available. Eat here if in Port Hawkesbury!

En route to spend a week in Port Hood we ended up overnight in Port Hawkesbury. We had eaten at Miller's before and remembered it was a good menu/experience, etc. We were again pleasantly surprised that a small hotel restaurant could offer such attentive service (really staffed appropriately), extremely skilled servers, and the food was excellent. In particular, two of the meals (elevated burger with brie, and a ciabatta chicken club sandwich with arugula salad and the other with fries) were basic but each element really well done. The salad fresh with a great vinaigrette and the burger cooked just perfectly and the fries solid and tasty as well as the sandwich. The coconut cream pie (usually oily and from a can/frozen) was freshly made and just delicious. Basically - our meals at Millers have been better than most other restaurant experiences elsewhere in larger centres at more established eateries. It was a nice surprise and kudos to whoever is managing/running the kitchen and front of house.

Wonderful family celebration site

There was a group of 8 of us for dinner. Jessica was our server and she was fantastic. She was very helpful, efficient and extremely hospitable. Every meal was accurate and she was perfectly attentive at the right times. We never felt rushed. The food is impossible to review for 8 different orders but everyone agreed that the dishes they had were very tasty, cooked perfectly and beautifully plated. WE WILL RETURN!

Hidden Gem loved by the locals!

This is a bit of a hidden spot in the back of the Maritime Inn on Main Street in Port Hawksebury. It was busy when we went in, but we were seated promptly and served immediately by Melanie! We ordered the mussels, crab cakes, caeser salad, perogies and Irish nachos! Everything was absolutely fabulous. The mango salsa and spicy relish with the crab 🦀 cakes was amazing and the sauce with the mussels so tasty! Melanie was an excellent server and gave us so many tips for our next stay in Nova Scotia!

Food issues, inattentive service.

A group of four, all had hot, tasty food nicely served, well portioned with the exception of me. I ordered a bowl of seafood chowder with a side of garlic bread. The soup was very tasty almost hot enough but ... it was served with a teaspoon to eat it with. The order of garlic bread served with it was one tiny slice of French bread plus one tea biscuit. The tea biscuit was rock hard, totally inedible. Another person at the table had a cup of the same chowder. It was almost the same quantity but at less than half the price. Unfortunately our server, Melinda, did not return to check on us until we had all finished eating so no correction could be sought at the outset. She apologized, ended up removing the chowder and garlic bread charge but too late to ensure all enjoyed their meal. So many errors should not occur with one meal.

We really enjoyed our supper meal...the food was delicious and there is a very good reason why Jessica's name is mentioned in many of the reviews. She is a great ambassador for Miller's and knows how to make people feel welcome and comfortable. Can't say enough about how great we felt after a long day of work and travel. We also enjoyed a lovely breakfast in the morning with Lisa as our server. Thanks to Jessica,Lisa and the team. Well done!!!!!

Miller's is a great place for atmosphere, food and service. The seafood menu is great and they have a neat variety of other dishes that are also very good (I'm a huge fan of the chicken quesadilla). And the service is always top notch, we're always well taken care of.

One of the best pubs in Nova Scotia!

We went for dinner at Miller's Tap & Grill while going through Nova Scotia. We live in Alberta and are landlocked so any seafood we get is not that fresh... I had the Seafood Carbonara...it did not disappoint! Our server Jessica was fabulous! She was so personable & extremely funny! She was like an energizer bunny, non stop without missing a beat! I hope Miller's know she's a keeper! Thanks Jessica!!!!!

A hidden gem

We hadn’t been to this restaurant in years, so we weren’t sure what to expect. However we were very pleasantly surprised to find a quiet outdoor patio area with lovely flowers and plants. The menu is extensive and there’s local beer on tap. We were there for lunch and I had a very fresh salad with chicken which was perfectly cooked. My husband had the daily special which was a prosciutto and Swiss grilled cheese and homemade fries, which he really enjoyed. The menu was interesting enough that we plan to go back for dinner next time we’re in the area. The staff were very attentive and they are taking COVID precautions very seriously.

Good food, busy place

We visited on a Thursday night and the place was packed, which is always a good sign. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed. We had a problem with the fountain drinks so the waitress brought us bottles of pop instead. It was a bit of a wait for the food but once it came the wait was worth it. The burgers were delicious!

Excellent food in a slightly dreary setting

When I first saw this place I found it fairly unappealing. It’s dark and noisy. However, the food and service were both very good. We had the lobster mac’n’cheese, crab cakes, coconut cream pie and sticky toffee pudding. Everything was delicious. Only the sticky toffee pudding was a bit dry. The server was very pleasant and helpful. I would go back.

Great service and full menu

Just popped in here on the way home from a tour of the Cabot Trail. Location is tucked in behind a mall, facing a residential area, so no road noise. Lovely small and well maintained patio. Great service, lots of menu choices and portions were just the right size. Our server was also very efficient and friendly, even reduced the music volume so that we could converse easily at our table. Overall a great experience, will be back next time I go around the trail.

Exceeded Expectations!

Really enjoyed our meal here! I had the Cajun Haddock Burger with Greek salad and my dad had fish and chips. We both would recommend our meals. The Haddock was grilled which was a nice surprise and the burger was really well dressed with an assortment of toppings. The salad was more than I was expecting!

Great Dining at Miller's Tap and Grill

We had a really awesome and fun dining experience. Jessica was our server. She was the best; top notch, attentive, friendly, and fun! The food was delicious, especially the mussels. very reasonably priced for the high level of food quality. This was our 2nd time eating here and we will be back again.

You WILL NOT be disappointed eating here. We had wings and they were frighten amazing, and the fish and chips which i though no one could screw up, but apparently a lot do, not this place, best fish and chips we had in a very long time. a glass of wine, on tap beer, chicken wings and one order of fish and chips, 44.00, I think very reasonable. I will definitely eat here again.

Our waitress was Jessica, she was extremely sweet and kind, great service!! We had our 94 year old mother with us and Jessica was very helpful to make sure that we had a booth, so she could be more comfortable. She was very pleasant, the restaurant was exceptionally busy but she didnt take long to look after all our needs. We didnt have to wait very long and everything was delicious. We were very pleased with the service.
