Not very impressed with the place at all, service just ok, food not the greatest and will not return. Service slow, and could do with better seats and tables too small.

A good 1:30 hours to get our lunch I understand short staffed but we should have been warned. Food sub Barr. We have eaten their many time disappointed with this visit
One of the best kept secrets in the Ottawa Valley. The best food around. Superb. Highly recommend it.
I have been a few times since the new owners have taken over and nothing has ever been disappointing. The new owners have refreshed this establishment and made some very positive improvements to the quality of food. I look forward to becoming a regular here...for years to come! Don't miss out on great eats based on the reviews on this page from the old owners!More
Fun time, and great food ! Lovely drinks and great service. So welcoming and enjoyable, i suggest 100%
Old time Hotel Saloon with great character. The Server was friendly and efficient. The menu had a good selection. Food was very tasty. Will eat there again.
Barry's Bay Ontario is a traditonal Polish community judging by the street names around town. They even boast a statue of a local boy who tested the AVRO Arrow ack in the 50s. We needed a Perogie fix and lucked ito their special of the...day. We sat on the outdoor covered porch overlooking the farmers market at the old train station across the street . Enjoyed a tasty lunch of perogies with a nice side salad. Bonus was there was a duo performing some great blues music at the farmers market so we also got some very nice entertainment.More
i stopped in on a hot summer day for some hot wings and a nice refreshing beer, service was on spot, friendly , and prompt , and my meal was excellently prepared. It felt like i was at a family event because the staff was...so outward, kind and smiling, two thumbs up!!More
Nice crispy snack of wings with a cold bud fit the bill for a Thursday night. Cozy wood interior welcomes you in
Four of us recently had lunch on the patio of the Balmoral Hotel in Barry’s Bay. It was very pleasant. Three of us had chicken quesadillas with salad. One had pea soup and a salad. We all enjoyed our food. Service was pleasant and efficient.
The usual pub fare on the menu. Fish and chips and Philly steak were very good. Nice atmosphere. Good prices.
For something different my wife and I decided to stop in at the Balmoral restaurant. I had read the bad reviews on here and was a bit leery to try it. We thought it can't be as bad as Dixie Lee. Walked in first impression...was very clean kind of empty. We sat down and a very pleasant waitress greeted us and took our orders. I tried the craft draught beer and it tasted good. We ordered 2 specials of the night, hot pork. Food came out fairly fast, the food was tasty hot and plentiful. I had fries with mine and my wife had the mashed. Both were very good. We split a bread pudding which was very good. This will be definitely a place we will consider returning to.More
To be fair, we did not eat at this restaurant, so I cannot comment on the food or the service. We arrived at 7:32PM on a Friday night as a party of 7. They would not seat us for dinner as their kitchen closed at...7:30PM (we literally missed it by 2min). They would not let us order dinner - so we left. The place was not busy, and its a small town? Why turn away customers?More
The restaurant and bar was closed but got a room for the night, no breakfast, no coffee. It was clean and although they boasted Netflix, internet was extremely slow. Not sure why we bothered trying to watch a 1 1/2 hour movie in 3 hours....Yawn! Otherwise staff were polite and friendly.More
Hot day on the bike. Stopped in for a beer. Friendly atmosphere even though I was a stranger there. Bartender was great. Farmers daughter...the beer was nice and cold. Was a nice break from the road.
