Lovely spot on the water. Good service. We went for an early dinner so no need of a reservation. We both hadthe mussels with an unusual Asian sauce which was very tasty and the lobster melt with fries. A long drive if you are staying...in the central part of the island, but if you are out exploring the eastern portion of PEI, a good choice.More

Where to start? The place is lovely, right on the water with great sunsets from inside or the big deck, where, on a chilly night, warm blankets appear without asking. Staff are friendly and know their stuff and the menu is fantastic, innovative, local and...varied. Hate seafood? They’ve got you covered and it’s not some sad chicken wrap. It’s local strip loin or a vegan friendly chickpea stir fry, my friends. We happen to love seafood so in we went. The local oysters were served with the usual seafood sauce but also a stunning blueberry mignonette that lit up the oysters. If they have Tuxedo oysters, grab some! We followed this with perfectly grilled pork belly and sweet, tender seared scallops with pickled blueberries and the most incredible sauce. If picking some apps was hard, the struggle to choose just one main to share was daunting. We eventually settled on the seafood linguine since it was out last night in the maritimes. This dish had pretty much every edible sea creature there is, all in a silky sauce with perfect pasta. The dessert selection looked great but we were too stuffed to try. The small wine list is very carefully curated and there are lots of local beers, ciders and spirits. This is a kitchen at the top of its game! You will want a reservation.More

My friends and I came to the island for a golf trip and when we asked about where we should eat at our Brudenell Resort we were told to check out The Wheelhouse in Georgetown and we were not disappointed... our food was fantastic I...had the scallop and lobster risotto and the scallops were perfectly cooked which is rare to find. The highlight of our visit was by far our server she went above and beyond to accommodate some odd dietary requests from our group and had a great personality. The food was good but we will be back for the service our server was so knowledgeable about seafood which is hard to find! I believe our servers name was Ashley, her friend was also hilarious and had a great drink recommendation for us! Thanks for a great experience and a good laugh!More

We went here for our anniversary dinner, having asked some local folks where they would recommend. One of the reviews said this was their best meal on the island! So we were really looking forward to our meal. What a disappointment this place was! The...dining room is very loud, and it was filled with dozens of flies! They were frequently trying to land on me or my food. At a picnic, I understand I will have to deal with "visitors" - but a fine dining experience shouldn't include so many revolting flying pests. The floor of one of the women's room toilets was wet, smelled like urine, and had wet toilet paper all over the floor. When I mentioned this to a waitress, she explained that "the toilets leak sometimes." The food was trying to be worth the price, but wasn't quite there. In our lobster risotto, there was literally ONE small piece of lobster. My vegetarian meal was good, but came with a long stalk of broccoli as part of the vegetable choice, but the entire stalk was so tough it was inedible. We really wanted this to be a special meal and were very disheartened when it wasn't.More

Sat at the bar while we waited for our fish and chip take out order which was delicious. The fish was lightly battered. The young man behind the bar was very obliging and personable . He made us a splendid type of blueberry lemonade with...vodka. He even showed us how to shuck an oyster. Staff very friendly . They are there to please the customer. Great experience.More

Everything was really, really good. We made a reservation to ensure we would get a table, party of 5x (including 2x kids). Fish and chips for the kids, mussels for an appy, lobster risotto and a fantastic lobster melt! It was all so good! The...only reason I cant give it a 5x star review is that they were on the slow side for for food. Our reservation was for 7:15 and we didn’t get out until almost 9. It was pleasant and they were good with drinks, but the food just took too long.More

Only came for a casual luch but was very surprised by the amazing and varied items on the menu, nice variety of choices, all with a slight different slant on a luch menu in PEI where most gravitates towards deep fried bar focused food or...else somewhat pretentious and expensive cuisine that is never worth it. We have already decided to come back for dinner and try a few more things. Nice atmosphere, great staff, all well trained and happy. Pretty location on the Montague and Brudenell Rivers. NIce decor, pretty deck. All round, great value and nice place to visit. Remember to see the rest of the little town as well, it's a reborn gem. A nice little day trip away. Try itMore

A beautiful venue in Georgetown, PEI, on the water. Lovely deck to enjoy the view. Quaint Island village, with Artisan shops, and a lovely community garden to stroll in. Now to this great gem of a restaurant! Nice varied menu with lovely twists, like Island...steamed mussels 3 ways, 2 options for lobster , and many more lunch items. The dinner menu looked so good! However all items are available all day. We will return! The staff are outstanding. There is seating offered inside and out. Very spacious. We made a reservation for lunch but it was really not necessary for lunch. We were told that could change later in the summer, and really recommended for supper. There is a well known theatre in the village,Georgetown Theater, which can create a busy time at the Wheelhouse in the evenings. Great food at reasonable prices, how can you go wrong?More

Delightful little restaurant with a nice deck looking out over the water. The seafood was very good, We had the scallop risotto and snow crab legs. The crab they get there was the best we've had in quite a while.

We walked in with no reservation about 6 pm in a Sunday evening. They squeezed us in. The portions were quite small and the food overpriced.
