While atmosphere and excellent service are a great start to an evening, it's the culinary detail that completes your outing to the Cliffs. Our Chef, Jason Reiner, and his team are dedicated to the local food movement and create menus by season and availability of local products. He is proud to serve up only the freshest made from scratch items on the ever-changing chalkboard menu. He relies on local farmers and producers to provide the best local ingredients available by season.We feature local beers on draught, locally roasted coffee and support local artisans whenever possible.

We thoroughly enjoyed dining here once again. Very popular spot. The butternut squash and apple soup was amazing, the perfect taste of fall with a balance of sweet and tart flavours. Smoked salmon served on a warm potato latke with an herbed sour cream, delicious. Both mains were equally enjoyed. The half chicken with garlic mashed potatoes, tender crisp seasoned vegetable and a lovely pan just arrived piping hot. Pork tenderloin was served on top of a roasted cauliflower purée. Portions were generous and service was attentive and friendly. We didn’t have room for dessert. We will definitely be back and it is such a lovely drive this time of year.

We come here on occasion for a bit of a drive and the food/ambiance. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal. It steadily got busier after our early arrival. Service was excellent. Specials are updated on their blackboard. The homemade soup was so flavourful. Butter chicken, basmati rice with nann bread was tasty and hot. The half roasted chicken with jus, vegetables and potato was delicious. Portions were ample. Service attentive. Worth the drive. They also offer special nights for dining with prix fix menus.There is a pub downstairs where service is first come first serve. Recommend reservations for upstairs. Nice spot for after a hike in Mono Cliffs Conservation Area. Enjoy!

This place was a real hidden gem. The short ribs were outstanding. My wife had the burger and let me tell you, if I'd have ordered it I would have dummied that puppy in no time. There's also a really great bar in the basement (Peter Cellar's Pub) where they happened to be playing live music. The table/room in the wine cellar was really cool (we didn't sit there but took little look-see)... if you ever have a special occasional, call and ask about it (it looked like it could seat around 6). Overall, very impressed and would come back in a second. Oh, also... good properly balanced cocktails (had the paper plane, dark and stormy, and another with gin / elderflower)!

We were so excited to learn the Mono Cliff in had reopened. Menu is diverse, will please any palate. If your looking for a fabulous meal lunch or just a snack after hiking -Mono Cliff will not disappoint.
The Gnocchi was to die for, Waldorf salad crisp and tasty, burger was cooked to perfection.
The personal attention from the manager was discrete and anticipatory -truly a first class experience in the country-a great escape!
We can wait to return

My wife and I went for an early dinner day date. I HD the grilled beef short ribs, bok Choy and rice. If I were a Top Chef judge I’d be very disappointed. The rice was bland and just rice. Short ribs were about 1cm thin and no seasoning. They put a store bought “spicy sauce” on it. Bok choy was sautéed and again no seasoning. Wife had maple trout, cauliflower and asparagus. It was ok.
There is no way that it was $99 worth for the meal.
Mine was like eating leftovers. Who honestly puts just plain basmati rice on a plate? It was a flavourless dish that was not what I expected after reading other reviews.
We went and the place only had one outside table seated.
The waitress was awesome though. Very friendly.
Won’t go back honestly. Not really impressed. .

We visited this place in the fall, a great autumn evening and with reservations, a perfect place to celebrate an event.
Service was amazing, great menu options and everything from the appetizer to the main course, to dessert was perfect. Served with perfect timing, hot and perfectly seasoned.

We decided to try their new year’s menu, we went with the lamb, spinach salad and warm bread and butter pudding. The pick up was quick and everything was well packed to get home with. The food was amazing and something that made our 2020 end on a high note.

Highly recommend the take out “cook from frozen lamb and goat cheese lasagna”. Simple to prepare wonderful flavours - you won’t be disappointed. Great item to keep in your freezer that can provide a gourmet meal in just over and hour

Four of drove past it and decided to stop for lunch and were so glad we did. The Calamary was the best we’ve had in a very long time and the Pork Schnitzel was fantastic. The staff are very friendly and the building is just amazing. The pub downstairs is a must to see. We will definitely be back

First time here and thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. Jessica our server was lovely and nice to meet Jason the manager.
Our lunch was delicious and generous portions. My husband is Celiac and gluten free was no problem.
Will definitely be back.

Went here on a date. I ordered the steak and veggies with mashed potatoes ($50 dollars) and my date ordered the burger ($20). Let me start by saying that I eat a lot of steak at different restaurants, and for $50 I was expecting a good amount of vegetables and mashed potatoes, but what came on the plate was surprisingly small. It should cost no more than $30=35 for that. I even asked the server, is the mashed potatoes coming on a separate plate? To which she replied, "It's underneath the steak". LMAO when I have gone to other restaurants, there is usually a good amount of mashed potatoes, and never under the steak.
Burgers usually come with fries or a side salad - but here you have to pay an extra $7 for either. So if you order a burger for 20 bucks you get ONLY the burger, and it is not big. My date was still hungry after.
After we finished eating the server came up to us asked us if we want desert. I said no. Then she immediately came with the bill, but didn't even ask us if we wanted the bill right away.
I honestly would not be reviewing this if it wasn't for the intense pain my STOMACH has been for hours. I am writing this review at 12:45am, finished eating there at 5:30pm, and the pain kicked in shortly after. Like a bad cramping pain which is a sign of bad food quality or something was off with the food.
NEVER EATING THERE AGAIN.

We have been visiting Mono Cliffs Inn over the past few years and never have had a bad experience. The menu changes based on what is locally available and everything is delicious. We have shared this place with many friends and it has become a favourite of theirs also. Wayne in the pub downstairs is a large part of the appeal, he is friendly, funny, and makes you feel like family. I look forward to them recovering from their recent kitchen fire so that we can return and continue to enjoy for many more years to come.
