We stayed for a week over half term at Casa Irene, having visited the restaurant for dinner on a previous trip to the area. The food is famous and deservedly so. What we particularly liked about it is that, although the restaurant has stunning reviews/Michelin rating etc., it is comfy and not stuffy at all. Very relaxed and homely. The... More

This is our fifth time here probably. We have stayed in any type of room and all of them are totally worth it. Family style hotel, literally, they make you feel as another member of their family. Shuttle service to the ski lifts, breakfast and the number one restaurant in the Valle de Aran to have an awesome dinner experience.... More

One of many great places to eat in this area, and it is well deserving of its Michelin star. Great wine selection, staff very helpful in pairing it with their food, and overall very well worth the visit. Reservations are a must - in skiing season, at least. Parking is best a few short blocks away in the village, or... More

This restaurant was awarded a michelin star in 2012 and still serves good meals at a reasonable price. Don't miss the home made cassis which they also sell loose

We had eaten here a few years ago, because a friend had recommended it, and we loved it. During the Christmas holidays we decided to go back to this area and obviously we booked a table at Casa Irene. The place is really nice and cozy, tables are rather intimate although they are close to each other, and the service... More

Our friends insisted on us going to Casa Irene and they were right. A nice cozy ambiance with a selection of local dishes typical from the Aran Valley. My favourite was the Foie. Reservations in advance are needed. The crowd was more in the late 50's, suppose it's expected as it is not inexpensive, but worth your while definitely!
