This was one of our top 2 places to eat in Gaucin. The menu del dia at €12 pp was both amazing value and excellent quality with a half bottle of excellent house wine EACH included! We had several lunches and dinners here on various days. An enclosed and sheltered courtyard at the back was pleasant in the height of... More

Almost invisible from the main square but it's worth looking for. Had a great lunch (menu del dia includes 1/2 bottle of wine, bread and dessert!) with some amazing local food. The gazpacho was incredible! Their inside courtyard patio was a welcome respite from a hot day.

This is a real find. Make the effort to find the restaurant just off the main square and enter an oasis of calm and shade in their back garden. The menu of the day has 2 courses and a half bottle of wine plus bread for 12 Euros. The portions are huge and the theme is traditional Spanish - very... More

We went to this bar/restaurant on spec and were the only people in there which was a little strange but we were quite early. That said the food was really good, the service was prompt and the bill had to be double checked as it was so low. This place has a local feel and some may be put off... More

Starter, main and wine at low price. Pleasant atmosphere. Lovely, hard working staff who are really polite. Outside space within the restaurant.

A bit of a mixed bag. Hard to tell from outside but there is a nice terrace inside with plants etc. They offer a fixed price menu which is good value if you order wisely. The soup of egg, ham and noodles was very odd but other courses (including the sirloin) proved decent. Not fine dining but has a certain... More

And what it is is a down market grill. Big area at the back under cover with cafe tables. The food was a bit limited on Sunday night, but at least it was open. The food was average - ok cooked pork loin but dry grilled pork steak. The wine list is not very explanatory - stick to beer.

This place is 12 euros for 3 courses including bread and wine! Very rustic home style but great value. The chips must be a million calories but wow were they good chips. Garlic prawns also a highlight. Quiet lunch time but def worth a trip. Wine very drinkable!

A typically Spanish restaurant with good food and friendly service. A menu including starter, main course, dessert, 1/2 bottle of wine and bottled water at 12 euro makes this place highly recommendable.

Simple Servings of Local Flavor. The menu del did at la Parrilla del Pilar serves tasty and economical local cuisine rich in pork. We samples grilled pork chops and a pork steak in pepper sauce. Both delicious. With two meals, the congenial staff three in a bottle of full bodied red wine, gratis. It's a simple, family restaurant well worth a try.
