We visited today and had our best day on the island so far. The hike up to the is very beautiful. However the day's highlight was our visit to Es verger. The food is wonderful. We loved everything we ate: soup, croquettes, lamb, suckling pig...More

We have eaten here a dozen times or more and brought many friends here. Their reactions vary from initial shock to nervous laughter. This place is truly rustic with simple wooden tables and chairs and a limited menu. To criticise the place for its simple...More

Rustic, friendly, casual, delicious. This didn't disappoint and the best lamb I've ever had. A lovely experience. Don't dress up, just relax, enjoy the banter and eat well. Good house wine. Meal for 4 with drinks beforehand was €92, care, cash only. It's an experience....More

The journey up to this simple building isn't the easiest. Driving will take you via narrow winding road with a steep drop to one side and a stone fence to the other. Spectacular countryside views on the way (can only be enjoyed by the passengers......More

We drove up the mountain on a family pilgrimage to Es Verger which is renowned across the world for its no nonsense rustic cooking and specifically, the lamb and incredible views across the Island. We would have hiked to get an appetite but that wasn't...More

A trek up the hillside, not a real issue, quick service not an issue, food not an issue, service rude and uninterested, wouldn't bother guys, doesn't live up to the hype and you can get gorgeous views all over the island.

Went today and was so disappointed. Sat down and ordered. Food arrived within 1 minute. Had obviously been prepared and had been sitting for hours!! Such a shame.

The journey to the restaurant is very dangerous and if you meet another car coming the other way it is difficult to pass. Once at the restaurant they are only interested in getting you in and out as soon as possible. Definitely not worth a...More
