We were disappointed that we were asked to sit outside and wait for around 40 minutes to be able to eat. It wasn't the warmest place to have to sit or eat and the staff were busy and not what we would call helpful

We had a very nice meal and wine to celebrate our 54th anniversary. The food was excellent, the staff attentive but unobtrusive. All in all a lovely place overlooking the beautiful lake. A great place to spend an evening.

The view from the restaurant across the two rivers is fantastic. We had a lovely roast dinner and then puddings with far too many calories!

Enquired here re dinner while we were visiting the Historic precinct just down the street re dinner that night as the location allowed you to look out over Lake Dunstan as the sun goes down. From the outside the Hotel (established 1863) looks fairly old but the restaurant is fine inside as we didn't eat in the outside area as... More

My husband and I had a meal at this pub, food was lovely staff were very attentive and friendly, but the whole experience was let down by the fact that the pub is just plain dirty. The outside area / conservatory just needs a good hose down. Spider webs and dead spiders and flies everywhere. Used serviettes under the tables.... More

Trading on their location this restaurant offers bland fare at high prices. Side salads (Summer salads!) have not moved on much since the 1960's with lettuce, and a little bit of tomato. If you seek diligently you will find a few very thin strands of carrot.

We arrived in Cromwell after a long drive and in desperate need of food. I was skeptical when I saw the pub from the outside as it looks a little run down but I was pleasantly surprised when I went. The bar and restaurant were busy despite it being a week night. There was a good selection of food to... More
