The owners spend their winter travelling in the East (Cambodia, Vietnam etc) and the food is a fusion of their Dutch heritage, travels and cooking skills. We've never had a bad meal here and you have to book, even in October. Some amazing taste combinations I've never experienced elsewhere. She is an amazing cook.

The restaurant is situated in a small garden, hence the name. It serves Thai and Asian style food and is a nice change from mediterranean food. We had a delicious meal with friends with an interesting combination of food, flavours and presentation

Small Garden with a tropical atmosphere. The food is really tasty with lots of asian plates.. Spicy food also included.. REALLY SPICY!! The chef is polite and the staff full of humor.. Generelly if you want to get away from the greek tradition of Paleochora for one evening-night, the Small Garden is the best place to choose!!

Small "secret" (not visible from the road) garden with seven tables and colorful lanterns that creates a cosy and relaxing environment; good quality Asian influence cuisine that changes everyday (menu presented on blackboard) and is consisted of fresh, local and seasonal ingredients; a kind and resourceful host and an excellent cook (his wife) in the kitchen; Everything in "Kiparaki" has... Also known as Small Garden restuarant to avoid confusion. Six or seven tables set in a small courtyard probably the quaintest restuarant in Paleochora. A nice change from Greek food, the menu has more of an Asian twist. Not an extensive choice but there should be something to suit most tastes. Appears to be run by husband and wife team... More

We booked a table here on the recommendation of a friend and we certainly were not disappointed. The lovely small garden setting with the lanterns created such a lovely relaxed ambiance (kind of reminded us of a restaurant in Goa from years ago) and the host was very friendly. The food although not Cretan (and it made a nice change... More

If you are looking for an alternative to Greek cuisine then go for this small garden restaurant. Menu changing every day, crossover Mediterranean/Asian, all very fresh and delicious. Good housewine, creative interiour and surprises (toothpicks...). Very friendly and communicative owners.

If you're looking for something different in Paleochora, than a greek restaurant or a pizzeria, this is the place you want to go. The host was a very entertaining guy. The menu changes day by day, but usually they offer asian food. And that food was special and very good. We went here with 7 persons late in the evening... More

This small garden restaurant is the passion of a Dutch couple who love the Far East. They have adapted the cuisines of the Far East in a thoughtful and imaginative way. Make sure you visit early during your stay in Paleochora as one visit will not be enough. You owe it to yourself to experience something unique, delivered with conviction... More
