We stumbled upon this beautiful restaurant while stopping in Pienza for a quick lunch break from driving. Several of the other cafes were closed due to siestas, but we kept walking around the town off of the beaten path from the tourist areas and boy are we glad we did! The atmosphere is truly how I pictured Italian cafes to... More

We were looking for a small place to eat away from the main touristy square of Pienza and here it was. Their crepes were the best I've had. Only two people running the whole place. The guy cooking and the girl waiting tables. It was October so it was quite slow and we were well taken care of. This one... More

The Caffe Della Volpe is tucked in a little off the main way in Pienza, but it's a charming place worth seeking out - and Pienza is a tiny town. We sat outside under the awnings and enjoyed coffee and desert - amazing to still be hungry after the prior sampling and Gelato, but! Very pleasant and loads of local... More

Paolo the barista will do everything to please you and will treat you as if had ordered a case of Champagne even if you are only having an espresso. Ask him for directions and clues to the Val d'Orcia. Highly recommended

Paolo(the man who was working at the time) is a great person all around. Very welcoming and accommodating. I just stopped in for a quick crepe and cappuccino but it was still a great experience. Tucked away a bit from the normal crowds.

We noticed the beautiful terrace and we thought it was a perfect place to celebrate our anniversary, grab a meal and drink some fine Italian wine. But looks can be deceiving. The waiter was pretty unfriendly and the food was really bad. the portions are really small and my lasagne were frozen, and as I went to the bathroom I... More

We enjoyed everything about this sweet cafe which is tucked away from the crowds. The food is absolutely delicious. Don't miss the potato pie--OMG!! This was one of the best lunches we've had in Tuscany.

One of the few regrets my wife and I have of our trip to Tuscany is that we only were able to eat at the Cafe Della Volpe once. We really enjoyed our meal there and sitting on the patio towards evening made a very special night for our first visit to Pienza. Walking the streets of the town towards... More

We had such a great time in Pienza and at this small gem Caffe' della Volpe. You can have a great meal or simply relax sipping a good cappuccino while you take it all in. What a great experience. Owner Paolo is so friendly. If you are in the area, this is a must stop!
