Everything about this restaurant was lovely. Sat outside on a hot evening in the shade. There is attention to detail here ,presentation is good. We stared with the cheeses came with pickles fresh fruit very nice. Followed by pasta dishes these too were both very good. Finished off with the tiramisu the best we have had in Pienza. After reading the reviews my partner and I were really looking forward to eating at Il Rossellino. We were warmly welcomed and then seated at a table in the square outside the restaurant. The menu showed great promise, not too much to chose from which to our minds means the chef will produce good tasty food without compromising quality. My... More

The owner and his son were very polite and welcoming. The food was very good, we had the carpaccio as a starter which was fantastic and two pastas for main dishes. Make sure you get the ravioli with ricotta cheese and tartufo! Best so far during our trip in Tuscany! Last but not least, if you like Pannacotta make sure... More

Off the beaten path you will find this quaint little ristorante tucked away in a small courtyard nestled in the hilltop town of Pienza. We just happened upon this by chance and it had a very nice outdoor cafe with large umbrellas, which as it turned out were a godsend as the skies opened up and wreaked havoc on us... More

We found Il Rossellino by chance, but, it turned out to be the best meal we've had during our trip to Italy. Mauro (I hope I got the spelling right), the owner, was kind, informative and honest about the menu selections, suggesting several food and wine combinations that far enhanced our dinning experience. Not only was his culinary advice spot-on,... More

in the middle of a visit in Pienza city, we took a break in Il rossellino where every single food was home made, delicious, well served and explained to us. To make a long story short, we will remember this lunch experience done in Italy 30 years after our wedding anniversary. Prices were absolutaly reasonnable as well. Try it, you... More
