I stopped in for lunch and can’t recommend it highly enough. The owners are wonderful, the place is gorgeous and the food and wine are just delicious. I ate chicken in a red wine reduction with a side of dandelion (called chicory here) with a...fantastic glass of Montefalco Rosso (Sacciadiavolo).More

The vegetables are fantastic (but oddly not on the menu). Ask what they have on the day. We had zucchini and fennel. The pasta is great, particularly the amaritriciana (spelling?). The ambiance and the proprietor are lovely. The view is the best in Narni and...the air is cooler and fresher than in the piazza or alleys.More

This place is on a quiet vicolo, it has a few tables outside with great views and is also nicely decorated inside. The food is freshly prepared and service efficient. Few dishes but they should be able to satisfy different requests of primo and secondo....The prices are a bit above average.More

The small, lokal restaurant is placed a little bit off the the main street but do try to find it! The view overlooking the valley and the other side of Narni is unbeatable. The pasta for primi was very good with homemade pasta. Rosella, the...kind and friendly host told us everything was homemade and local. On Fridays during Sommer special dinners was arranged with varying themes. Coming from Denmark, I signed up for a Danish night in October!More

We chose La Gallina Liberata for its setting - a quiet street in the centre of Narni, just inside the walls, sheltered from the busyness that had overtaken other places we'd looked at. We were not sure the restaurant was open, but when we asked...we were warmly welcomed. The menu was short, but we each easily found a dish that was just what we fancied, and we weren't disappointed when the food came. It was delicious. I think the friendly lady serving us is the owner, and possibly the cook too, so possibly you might wait at busier times. But what a lovely place to wait, if so. There are tables inside and out, some with a view over the walls to the surrounding panorama. For us, the personal service, the quality of the food and the gentle atmosphere made this a meal to remember. (Oh, and if you're interested - we had a shared starter, 2 mains, 2 desserts, a half litre carafe of wine, and mineral water, and it cost 50 Euros.More

Cozy restaurant with outside seating along a scenic small road. Friendly service, staff makes fresh pasta in the main room and sits desserts on a side table not unlike what done in older times in family room. Great tasting food; gnocchetti agli ortaggi, umbricelli amatriciani...in bianco, parmiggiana di melanzane, involtini di verza con riso tonno e olive, homemade caramel pudding. Lovely.More
