Off the beaten track but a veritable delight for genuine Spanish food particularly meats. If you can find it dont be put off by the drab exterior, inside tells you all you need to know - boars head on the walls and antlers as chandelier holders give you the character of real local Spanish food for locals. Try the 'wrinkled... More

Very good meat plates in Spanish style. A must in Ayamont area. Mandatory to try: Papa Arruga, Solomillo and Buey.

The grilled Iberian pork meat is excellent. The house wine is very interesting and the prices are very good. It's not easy to find but it's worth visiting.

I can strongly recommend a visit to this true traditional Spanish style grilled meats restaurant that provides great service and value for money. Set in a small village in the hills above Isla Cristina the restaurant is rustic with a true traditional feel. Our party of eight ordered a cross section of the meats available on the menu which were... More

Also known as El Cholesterol, this place is a meat lovers paradise. Not in Ayamonte as such, more just outside Isla Cristina and on a small estate tucked away so check the map before you go. Starters are simple, but the boiled spuds with a cumin and chilli oil dressing are really good as is the simple tomato salad with... More

Great restaurant to visit. Speciality is grilled meat. Very good, very tasty and very fresh. The environment is good and very casual. Cheap for the quantity of the food €40 for two adults and to children With starter ( potatos with special sauce), three different grilled meats, chips, two water bottles for kids and 5 beers. Deserts 2 ice creams... More

Visited with friends who have property in nearby Islantilla so they have managed to disciver some true gems via advice from Spannish neighbours. A bit offputting on the drive in and looks nothing from the outside but what a place. Full of locals having their midday meal complete with children and extended families. Salad with beef tomatoes and delicious dressing... More

Fantastic place for Pork lovers, also known as the "Cholesterol". The meat speciality of the house, is excellent. The ptatoes "papas arrugas" also and so are all the dishes. We love the "mosto de la casa" served in jugs. Friendly. Very cheap.

If you like meat the this is the place to eat. A starter of tomato salad with lots of chunky bread and whole baby potatoes was delicious, followed by the Argentinian bull steak which was cooked to perfection. Try the Naranja to go with your meal - subtle sherbet after taste and very good. Gat there before 9pm to sit... More

This restaurant sits in a housing estate in a village between Isla Cristina and Ayamonte - GPS is necessary if you want the best steak on the coast. Log fire nice touch in winter. We had stunning fillet steaks cooked perfectly, lovely tomato & garlic salad, and local wine. Steaks are only €3.50 per 100gsm. Try the local naranja drink... More
