Great restaurant on the edge of this beautiful town with a great vista overlooking the countryside. Lots of food options from local suppliers. The restaurant and patio are spacious and reasonably well-kept. The menu offers Iberian dishes with an Italian touch here and there. The gazpacho with beet root was fresh and good. The main dish of risotto with partridge was a lot of risotto with microscopic pieces...of meat. The dessert of cheese cake was OK. Service was correct-without-a-smile. Cortijo Vistalegre is a nice new establishment a few metres from Cazalla. Its look is inspired in old rural Andalusian architecture, with a wide terrace in front of the restaurant ideal for those who like basking whilst having a meal, and a big free parking...lot. The food is tasty, well presented in a rather sophisticated way. As the food is mainly local, you can expect lots of meat and other traditional products from an inland area, but some other things as the vegetables dishes are also outstanding, as well as the desserts, being the tiramisú to die for. The venue itself is quite spacious and new, everything decorated in the same rural tune, there being even a big dinning room, all the floors paved in a nice vintage-style. The staff is young attentive and fast. Prices are moderated. Cortijo Vistalegre is a good option if you are staying by the area. Cazalla is a quiet town, nested in a lush landscape that you might not expect so close from Seville, an ideal place to those who are into hiking as there are many nice trails around, many nice spots, and a couple of charm hotels in Cazalla and around the town as well.More

We really enjoyed the food here. The menu was carefully planned - with an excellent variety of tapas and wonderfully cooked cuts of meat. Service was also fantastic - the waiter had no problems with cooking our steak a little extra when we got the...Spanish translations wrong for 'medium rare'.More
