Initially nearly walked straight back out as the place was filthy, the table sticky as hadn't been cleaned, tried another but the same, there dog was running around wet & barking but we were hungry & it was a Sunday with limited places to eat....The ordering & payment is all done on an app so if you haven't a mobile phone you can't eat here. I was able to order food & drink but even though a notice on the table said that I could pay by contactless at the table the waitress stated this wasn't so & I had to pay via the app. we had very nice coffees & even though it was quite with only 3 other tables occupied we waited 45 mins before asking where our food was to be told that we had been forgotten, we received a total refund but were still hungry & had to find somewhere else to eat.More

Queued for almost 30 minutes, the lady doing the Ice creams was the slowest I had ever come across. She was really rude to myself and the family who were waiting patiently behind us. She rolled her eyes at the children and asked me to...repeat my order 5 times! Really let down the whole day and will not be returning.More

The cafe itself is lovely. We only had drinks but they were very good coffees, however we found the whole queuing system a bit strange in these times. It would have been better if the bill could have been brought to us to pay at...the table, rather than us having to queue up again to go in and pay, which took ages.More

We came here after a lovely family day out at the farm. We ordered a chicken burger and 3 salads. One Caesar salad which was a "special" and two Cajun chicken salads. The "special" Caesar salad was essentially a massive bag of salad leaves poured...into a bowl, a few chopped up bits of tomato and cucumber and a bland drizzle of sauce. Nothing Caesar about it all. No croutons, no parmesan, no anchovies, no bacon. Nothing. Just the blandest salad of all time. The chicken was fine. But again tasteless. The salad was £10. An absolute joke. The 2 Cajun chicken salads were equally disappointing. Bag of salad leaves and some chicken which tasted like it was out of a Bernard Matthews packet shoved on top. No dressing. Nothing. £30 on 3 essentially a massive bag of salad leaves and some bland chicken. The staff were nice and apolegtic when I brought this to their attention. However, apparently the chef was happy with the standard of the salad. Based on that, I wouldn't try anything else that came out of the kitchen. Overall, a lazy, overpriced, misleading, attempt at a salad.More

Attended Wellies cafe today as a lunch time treat for my parents and toddler. We were already visiting the farm for other amenities. We had booked a week before anticipating busyness in light of the governments eat out to help out scheme however we were...unprepared for the hour and a half wait for our lunch. Also we noticed that a table arriving after us received their food before us so imagine there was some confusion in the kitchen. That said the food was on the whole ok when it arrived, we had pizzas, burger and a avacoado, humus and falafel sandwich. However there was no humus at all in the falafel ciabatta. There was little offered in way of compensating our experience when we paid. Service wasn't the best we were not asked if we wanted any drinks etc between our long lunch wait and had to source our own bill. They were clearly understaffed and overwhelmed. Overall a little disappointing I can imagine a better experience on a less busy day.More

Currently there is a limited menu, I am unsure if this is always the case. I had a sausage, hash brown and egg cibatta. The fried egg was over cooked but the sausages were rather good. I wouldn't recommend visiting just for the cafe but...it's worth stopping at before/after a farm visit. Trying to find a working highchair was more difficult than it should have been. The wooden ones are wobbly and the plastic ones have missing belts.More

We stopped here after visiting the farm and we were amazed by the quality of food. It is fair to say this place is a hidden gem and a food spot that could easily go unnoticed. We will most certainly make a point of stopping...by in he future for more grub! Service was a little slow, but it was peak lunchtime so to be expected with all the relevant restrictions in place. Would definitely recommendMore

Spur of the moment visit after going round the farm. Really good choice of food even for a fussy eater and a child. For our group we ordered one of the wood fired pizzas, a couple of sandwiches, chips side, kids chicken and chips, ham...egg and chips as well as drinks and milkshakes. All the food came very well presented, piping hot and everything was polished off. You could tell they use fresh local ingredients as the food was delicious. The restaurant set up is really spacious and if you are concerned about socially distancing they have done an excellent job of not only spacing everyone out, but making sure the staff are following the guidance really well. Would definitely recommend booking even if you aren’t going for the farm. There are loads of other outlets on the same site to visit as well.More

This is just off A6. Popular for families with children as play areas great. Cafe can be very noisy and food is average. When we called at half term the cafe was cold.

We found this place whilst en route home from the Lake District as we don’t like motorway services. We had breakfast baps which were made with local bacon ,sausages and eggs. The bread rolls were good- not cotton woolly like some cafes We had a...side of black pudding which was really tasty . My granddaughter had the kids breakfast which was really good quality, again made with local produce. Coffee was excellent . A real treat to set us up for the journey home . Wish we’d had time to explore the rest of the farm but will try to do this next time we’re in the areaMore
