A family day on the Severn Valley Railway and in need of a pit stop. Left the car park at Bridgnorth Station and this Pub was right opposite so thought we would give it a try. Very pleasantly surprised, a comfortable spacious dining area and very friendly and helpful staff, we all had hot meat baguettes their being a choice... More

Great way to spend your Saturday night forget x- factor get out and have good food with good music. Superb steak and my wife had a lovely steak and ale pie washed down with nice wine. Finished with a fantastic dessert.

Three of us visited on Fish Friday, my wife and daughter enjoyed two courses each and a good quality bottle of wine for £25. The prawns and fish main courses were excellent together with tasty desserts. I had the pie of the day for £10 which was full of tender steak with a red wine gravy. Couldn't fault this at... More

Met with family for lunch midweek. Only one other couple in the place. Asked for a bitter shandy and the reply was 'what is bitter'. Ordered the gammon, sadly when it came it was in a parsley sauce which was not stated on the menu. I explained that I did not like parsley sauce and it was taken away, scrapped... More

A lovely, friendly atmosphere. We have eaten here on many occasions and although the food has always been to a good standard there is definitely a difference depending on the chef. If the quality was consistent we would have given the George the top rating.

Arranged to meet a friend for dinner in the George, both meals were lovely, the young man who served & chatted to us was a credit to the pub, there was music on in the pub part which to be frank was deafening, (I love rock music ) you simply could not talk in the bar, however to be fair... More

There were nine of us dining at The George for the first time, as part of our annual school reunion. We were not disappointed - we received great service from the excellent waitress Marie, despite the pub being predictably near full on a Saturday evening, the food was great and the selection of drinks at the bar was superb.(I personally... The food here is delicious and beautifully presented, and often accompanied by one of the very talented local live acts. Well worth a visits - one of our favourites.
