I was pleasantly surprised when I decided to give this Wetherspoons venue a try. I went on a Friday when they offer 'Fish and Chips' special with a pint of real ale included for an extra £1. I liked the atmosphere and the place was so huge and busy that i thought I was lucky to find a vacant table... More

We visited the Gordon Highlander severs times now. It is usually busy at weekends. The atmosphere is nice and the food is great for the price, just what you would expect from Wetherspoon. What's not good is the customer service. Two couples at the dame table ordering food one after another at the same bar staff and the kitchen can't... More

As with most Wetherspoons this is a low cost eating and drinking restaurant , it's great value for money and the food is always very nice

This is only the third Wetherspoon restaurant I've been in but is a favourite. The food was excellent and the prices are reasonable. I had a burger and cheese sauce which included so many extras I was glad there had not been a starter. This is a former cinema and the company has kept many of the old features, including... More

To save cooking when we got home after shopping in Inverurie we visited the Gordon Highlander late afternoon. My Lamb Shank was huge, delicious and extremely tender, my wife enjoyed her Texas Burger. Great value for money at £17 including 2 pints of lager shandy. PS: Our Bichon Teddy enjoyed the left overs from the lamb shank.

Thursday is curry night and not bad for the price you pay, service is usually slow but for once is was quick, about 3 minutes, probably a man serving.

The Gordon Highlander was never great, it was OK for pub grub at cheap prices, however the prices are creeping up and the quality has taken a severe nosedive. On our previous visit we were told food would take 40 minutes but was 85 minutes before we got it and it was poor but we could afford to wait another... More

We visited late on a Saturday afternoon for food. I thought it would be heaving but was surprised to find many free tables.....by the time we left however it was much much busier. I ordered my usual gourmet burger while husband had the ultimate burger - both delicious and absolutely fantastic value. Service at the bar was speedy and friendly.... More
