I never write comments on Trip Advisor because I don’t really care, but I had to warn customers about this traumatizing experience. We are 4 girls who never had to leave a restaurant, but this time, it was so horrible how we got treated that...we had to leave. My friend went to ask the waitress if it was normal that she really didn’t have a lot of kitchen in her panini (she’s not the complaining type but she had like 3 small pieces of chicken in a normal size panini... which was supposed to be a chicken pesto panini (so the chicken was the main ingredient lol)). She was not mad, she just asked nicely. The waitress took her plate from her hands, threw it in the chicken and said to my friend: “If you’re not happy, just don’t eat it.” Then, the chef and owner of the place came to our table from across the restaurant saying in a really confronting way: “So who’s the one complaining about my food???”. I swear... he was scary. He was shouting at us without a mask, really close to us, spitting over our plates (it’s COVID period). He was so mad, he started insulting us. He invited us to leave, he didn’t care if we didn’t pay, he preferred wining his argument. We’ve never been treated that way in a restaurant. That’s not a way to treat customers. Never go there! The food was not worth the bad service and the traumatizing experience. We ended up across the street at Rachel’s and the service is really good!More

Server told me my order for my family would be ready in 20 minutes, an hour later , still no food, when we finally got it, the order was wrong, the owner was extremely rude and didn’t even offer to get our order done properly....never..never...again, no thanks..More

Picked up an order, got to the car, and we could smell lots of stuff that we did not order. Called the restaurant and the owner said she does NOT read the orders (which we spent a lot of time confirming on the phone). Waited...25 minutes for the correct burgers, by which time all our side orders were stone cold. Owner brought out the replacement burgers and proceeded to start arguing with me (rather than apologizing for her carelessness and the long wait). Very unprofessional!!! Any other restaurant in town is a better choice. BTW this restaurant changed owners and its name several months ago. I think they are profiting from the high ratings from the former Marydale’s.More

My husband and I went to Marydales at the end of a long day of hiking/swimming at Lion's Head. The restaurant was super busy and we weren't sure we'd be served. The waitress kindly sat us down at a table (despite the sign that said..."By reservation only.") We had to wait a while but it was worth it. The food was terrific! Customer service - excellent. I loved listening to the music while we waited. I will definitely recommend Marydales to people going up this way.More

Out for a ride on the bike and ended up in Lions Head On. Stopped to get some lunch at Marydales. Had a great meal, met the new owners who have a lot of great plans for this restaurant including several new menu items ....Will need to come up again!More

Order take-out and was very disappointed when we opened the container. Only received 5 onion rings as the side to a burger (which tasted like soap.) A chicken wrap which I think was pre made and heat up, chicken was hard with a VERY small...amount of fries which now have a spice coating on them and they were not cooked. I’m not sure we will be giving the new owners another chance after this meal. Also asked for no tomato on my wrap, but was filled with tomato. Took a half hour after being told it would take 10 mins.. they were very busyMore

We live 30 minutes from Lions Head and will stop for breakfast or lunch if we're travelling the Peninsula. We visited Marydales to support the new owners this time and checkout the new food. 25 minutes later we were on the road again without even...been served a beverage. It was 1 pm, 4 tables, 2 were finished and chatting and 3 staff. No acknowledgement when we arrived. After 10 minutes a waitress brought food to the table next to us but made no eye contact with us. After 15 minutes the owner came with menus and no comments other than a friendly hello. She asked if we'd like something to drink. We said coffees. She retreated to the cash area and casually worked on paperwork. Never did receive coffees. That was long enough. We left without ever being served.More

The best clubhouse sandwich. Breakfast is also great here. Staff are friendly and service is good. The service is a bit slower in the tourist season. They sometimes get swamped with customers.

We decided on a Sunday breakfast out, so we thought we would come here again, not too busy but took a long time for waitress to even acknowledge us, and when the food did come out it was tasteless, I could have made better at...home, our mistake for going in, but hey you decide, cheersMore
