Wanted to take Mum for breakfast somewhere nice, suggestions of the normal local restaurant chains came flooding in... stop the press, go to the Barn Brasserie. The big breakfast is priced the same if not slightly less than the normal chain restaurants, there's a great choice of breakfast items, I have a light bite of granola, yoghurt and honey followed... I visited here with my husband for Sunday lunch on 12th March. I had the roast beef, he had the cod supreme and as always the food was great. I like the service here as it is just the right amount of attentiveness and I also like the ambience with the soft lighting and soft background music. The maitre 'd... More

Lovely place, very smart and friendly. Staff are very attentive. We have been a few times already with family and as a couple and it's a place that we do love to come back and appreciate. Would definitely recommend to any type of visit.

The Barn has recently started doing all-day Afternoon Teas, @ £12.50 per head. Went today, 3 adults and 2 children and were pleasantly surprised. Equalled, or maybe even exceeded, recent tea at nearby Maison Talbooth, for only just over half the price. Good sandwiches with 4 flavours each, nice soft scones with very generous portions of cream, 3 small cakes... More

First visit to The Barn for lunch with my daughter last Saturday. Very impressed by the high standard but relaxed surroundings. It's a beautiful restaurant. We had the cod and the chicken. Both dishes were fresh, tasty and plentiful. Lots of nice little touches including the little lemon sorbet at start. Impeccable service - especially from manager James. We'll definitely... More

Met for a birthday celebration seduced by reasonably priced lobster on the menu and the fact that they take Tastecards Luckily it wasn't raining on arrival (Feb) and the wind had abated because the front door was some distance from the car park and there seemed to be no "dropping off" possibilities. You know how wives etc become animated by... More

We have eaten here a few times for dinner, once for breakfast and once as part of a party. Always great food, except breakfast which was more show than go. Nice to be greeted at the door and welcomed. The bar area is nice too for a pre dinner drink and a chat and you are never rushed. Whole place... More
