We stopped here for many coffee visits, as we found this cafe to have the best coffee and very good service. It has a good feel about it, with a great decor. It is located just on the corner of the Main Street and is...very close to main attractions to visit. The service is quick, friendly and efficient.More

This pleasant, centrally located cafe was busy when we ate at lunchtime, but the service was quick and the food was well presented and very tasty. I had the “poisson du jour” which was cod with a herb crust, served with asparagus risotto, delicious. I...noticed some gigantic platters of steak and chips being devoured at neighbouring tables. Recommended.More

My wife and I are traveling around the region with our French friends and found this Cafe. This fourth generation (in the same family) Cafe is a great example of how the younger generation Cafe owners can maintain but at the same time update the...service uniqueness and quality of product. When we ordered our coffee, we were advised that it was local tradition to have a glass of wine (locally produced) with the coffee. We were not going to say no to that! In addition, a nice portion of pate was served to add to the offering. Everybody in the Cafe seem to be enjoying themselves, staff customers and us included. It was a shame that were a bit early otherwise we would have stayed for lunch as the menu looked very appealing. Well done, I am sure this Cafe will be around for another four generations!More

During our stay in Cluny, we went here a couple of times. The atmosphere is very friendly, and service is fast. We didn't eat, but what we saw being delivered to other tables looked good and well presented. The cremant as well as coffee and...hot chocolate were great.More

We have visited this Bar / restaurant on quite a few occasions and often use it on Saturday Lunch time. Its almost always busy, in fact often on a Saturday lunch it can be fully booked by 11.30am. The staff are friendly, helpful and efficient....The Plat de Jour is always great value and interesting and the salads are huge and well presented We will be back next year on our return to FranceMore

A very typical café: just sit outside and watch the people walking by, enjoy a wonderful desert or have a huge salad. Big portions, in my opinion the dressing is too week, but the ambiance makes you tolerate this deficit. Friendly service. Lokals are among...the tourists, which is always a good sign. A place to pop in for a coffe, to read a history book about magical Cluny or enjoy the food.More

Simple good brasserie style lunch, super wine suggestion, top service ( it was full, outside and inside - they brought a table for us outside). Merci!

Despite it being Sunday lunchtime we were able to have simply a plat du jour. Each was excellent: cuisse de canard, steack frites and tartare du boeuf Charolaise. The short wine list is all that is needed and the prices are reasonable. A Givry rouge...at 23 euros was well worth it but there are also cheaper ‘pots’ available. Later in the month, however, the plat du jour of veal proved a little stringy.More

Cluny is a wonderfully quiet little town, with lots of history to see and very worth several short visits. We stopped at the Cafe du Centre several times for a quick lunch and, while not having any expectations for high cuisine, we have been eating...consistently well. The waiters were friendly.More

This café has the best location in Cluny, just off the main street of town on a side street and close to the Medieval site of the Abbey. It should be excellent but unfortunately the food is not very good. The interior is charming and...there is a nice outdoor seating area. People go there because there really is not another café in town so well situated. BUT, we have had some of the worst cuisine ever experienced in France. I was once served a Tarte Nicoise which was totally burnt. I could not believe it! The quality control here is totally lacking. The rest of the food has been very ordinary . Locals come here for the drinks and coffee, not the food. Too bad as it is a golden opportunity for a nice dining experience also.More
