Just had a snack but the menu food looked excellent. Busy but service was good and friendly too. Even though our friend got locked in the toilet!

Busy at lunchtime, staff and clientele friendly, including towards our dog. Had their "speciality" dish, calf's head, which was plentiful and very nice, plenty of gribiche sauce. Also accompanied by a good selection of vegetables, which were also well cooked, apart from the "greens" which...might have been better cooked separately instead of all presumably boiled together. Jambonneau (thick slice of ham) starter was a good size and nice. Cheese platter, which was well stocked, was somewhat disappointing in the choices; all rather bland apart from the blue, which was very good. There were two different goat cheeses, so if you like that, there you go. Dessert was clearly home made, a bavarois, nice end to a pleasant relaxed meal. €12.20 for four courses, what's not to like. An unusual touch here is that, each morning, they announce on Facebook their proposed starter and main course/s for that day. Great idea!More

Had lunch here and despite all the rave reviews, found this establishment very average. It was very busy inside and out and would appear to be a very popular choice with local workers at lunchtime. Everything we had was definitely 'sous vide' or tinned. Boring...starter of tinned mushrooms, pate and cold pasta. Very strange 'medallions' of fish and bland tinned dauphinoise potatoes. My husband was happy with his roast pork though .More

I always have a coffee here when I visit Parthenay or when I'm enroute to somewhere else as its opposite the train/bus station. Hot strong coffee, just the way I like it.
