I have been invited to join a dinner at this restaurant, known (like others there) to have good and fresh fish. We had sea-bass and other fish-based appetizer: all good and quite place to stay...a bit cold but like other restaurants in Portugal. By the way good service and so I suggest this place.

We had the grilled "Robalo" and it was cooked to perfection! Accompanied with baby potatoes in a garlic/oil which was very tasty along with steamed veggies. The server was super attentive and friendly. It won't disappoint!

Great restaurant !! If you're into fish, this is definitely the place to go in Matosinhos. Menu could have some vegetarian food though.

We went into this restaurant not expecting much as we have been eating boring tourist food which were being passed by typical Portuguese cuisine. The food here is very good due to freshness of the produce and the chefs know how to cook by keeping it simply. Thank you for the great food, wine and service.

This location was recommended to us by two girls in a wine bar in Porto. Actually they said we could try any of the restaurants on the Rua Herois de França in Matosinhos, but the taxi driver just pointed his finger at this particular place. The see food is as fresh as one can get - straight from the ocean,... More

We were recommended to go to this restaurant by our hotel concierge. He obviously has never been. It was reasonably busy so there must be a following for their food. I myself found it no more than average . We had grilled sole and it was well enough cooked but there was nothing special about it. The accompaniments were ordinary,... More

This area is chock-a-block full of seaside bbq fish places - some looking decidedly more touristy than other (though probably also good). Vinum looked a bit smarter and had seating inside, and interesting was patronised by, what appeared to be, locals (a good sign in my book so!). Was NOT disappointed!! Lovely fresh fish, deliciously cooked on an outside grill... More

I went to this restaurant after reading reviews and wanting to have some fresh grilled fish. The round trip cab fare was 30 euros. I should have dined closer to my hotel! I ordered a traditional Portuguese soup (Caldo Verde), which was good but not warm enough for me. The grilled cod, cooked over charcoal in the street outside the... More

Oh, what an evening .. the best meal I had in Porto. I was walking down the area with friends who are regular visitors in Porto & trying to figure out the restaurant where we would have dinner on 15th Sept. As we walked by this place we thought of giving this a shot and we were really thrilled. The... More

Arriving from the airport, we had our taxi take us straight to O Valentim. One of the reasons I went to Portugal was for great seafood and this place has it. When we got out of the taxi, the charcoal fish grill was right at the front door staring us in the face. The smells were positively captivating. We were... More
