Called here during the day, was quiet but the views are great, just sit and take it all in. Had a great chat with the owner, a lovely man, very friendly. Would definitely call again.

Called into the old mill Irish bar following a disgusting brunch. It is friendly and we got seat by the open windows overlooking the bay, what a bonus that was. Hubby enjoyed a beer whilst I had coke and simply sat and watched the world go by for a while. A nice bit of classical music was playing which added... More

Called in for drinks to thie "Irish Bar"with my wife at approx 9.30 PM. I ordered a drink for my wife and myself and sat down at a table. There was a waitress who seemed to me to be a local person working the tables. I finished my drink and was waiting for my wife to finish hers before ordering... More

Bar was busy creating a good atmosphere, the live music was average but as there are few alternatives this time of year you will go with it. Night was a little spoilt by barman bullying a couple near to us celebrating their 50th Anniversary, quite happy to take their money all night then come the end, spilt drink over them... More

Called in for lunch only to find that (although the sign outside includes 'food' and it is described as the Old Mill 'restaurant') they don't serve food. The barman did say we could have a packet of crisps but that wasn't really the lunch we had hoped for! Surely they should change the signs? Beer cool and wine okay although... More

Popped in here a couple of times over the last week, decent beer and cider selection, Irish music in the background, OK if you are on holiday and craving a tapas and sangria free experience! Best bit is the view from inside the bar- over the sea - which was a bonus since it was raining heavily both times we... More

Since my first review of the Old Mill a couple of years ago, we have visited regularly on our 2/3 holidays per year in Playa Blanca. It is still a great place for a drink, during the day, pre- dinner, or later in the evening, listening to the live music. We were in the Old Mill, several times, earlier in... More

My wife and I dropped in here one afternoon for a refreshing drink. Can't remember what my wife ordered but I had a Guinness and it was actually very good. The bar was quiet with it being off season but it was a pleasant place to stop for a drink for half an hour or so. I would go back.
