Do you want to feel like you are at home? Do you want home made tasting food? Do you want a warm welcome, and easy going owner to deal with? Look no further....The owner is all of the above, and way more. We had a...wonderful three night stay at one of her cottages. Loved the cottage, the cleanliness, the proximity to the beach, and her hospitality. Not to mention to home baked warm pastries. Area around is fun to explore and there are nice shops and a theatre very close by. We will be staying there again for sure!!!!More

One of the worst meals we have ever had at a restaurant, and we have been around. It was a huge disappointment after reading all the great reviews.... maybe we hit an off night? Our server was very nice, the tomato tart app was very...nice. We both ordered the beef tenderloin, worst piece of meat we have ever been served. Our server assured us that if we ordered medium well and medium rare that's exactly what we would get. What we got was dry grey meat with only a sliver of pale pink in the middle, and a few dried out potato slices. No vegetables. The meat had a slimy green chimchurri sauce over the top which was not appropriate, and not at all what the on-line menu states....our mistake. It actually tasted like it was microwaved, no flavour, no char, no seasoning. Shocking to say the least. We told our server that the meat was overcooked, dry and grey and she was to tell the chef, but no comments or compensation from the chef. We left about a third to a quarter of each steak uneaten. Perhaps we should have sent it back completely uneaten? Our mistake again I guess. The building I appreciate is very old, but is quite run down, and my view while dining was a sort of a utility closet area, and rotting eaves/see photos. The surrounding gardens are overgrown and full of weeds. I rate the service poor only because she assured us our meat would be perfectly done. I seldom leave a bad review, you can check my history. Amazing service and very nice place. We had brunch, and ordered the quiche with salad, and the classic breakfast. It was delicious and not your ordinary breakfast place. Make sure to make reservations.

So glad we have the Windjammer in Port Stanley. I was there for a meal in their first week in Port 5 out of 7 days. I can confidently recommend this place to anyone wanting to experience fine dining.

We stayed 2 nights in the Carriage House at the Windjammer Inn in Port Stanley. Marilyn and Kim welcomed us and made the entire stay special. The meals here are the best we have ever had in a restaurant. Kim works her magic in the...kitchen! Don’t miss her fresh homemade scones fresh out of the oven...delicious! The suite we had included a fireplace and spa tub and a great outdoor seating area. The beach is a short 5 minute walk.More

Check in and relax. Comfortable beds and linens await. Choice of accommodation in the main house or larger more private carriage house. Wake up to the best breakfast in town with fresh baked sweet breads and an amazing a la carte main course selection, all...included in the nightly rate. Get to know your servers Marilyn and Dave who are well versed in the menu and wine suggestions.Brunch and dinner are also available. In the good weather be sure to get a table on the porch. There is always a delicious plant based and vegetarian choice. This is our definite Go To when staying in Port Stanley.More

We have lived in Port Stanley for almost 10 years and never managed to dine here until today. Worth the wait for sure as our brunch was absolutely incredible. Fantastic service and meals with amazing flavours!

We were taken to the Windjammer by friends and it was wonderful. The staff were like old friends - even to the newcomers. All the menu items were great but for something different try Mildred's or the Pickerel cakes. Close enough to the Port Stanley...Beach to walk off lunch.More

We had dinner on the porch (make sure you make a reservation) and it felt like we were in the south. Inviting and relaxed atmosphere, very friendly staff and delicious food. We had grilled calamari and scallops for an appetizer. I had the beef tenderloin...and my husband had the pickerel for dinner which was delicious. Would definitely go back next time we are in Port Stanley. Highly recommend.More

What a great surprise when we first found this restaurant a couple of years ago, now we make a point to come back every time we are in the area! The fresh local ingredients help make it and the century home porch is a wonderful...place to relax and enjoy your meal. Keep up the great work you guys!More

We recently had dinner at the Windjammer and quite enjoyed the evening. We dined on the deck which was great until a storm front rolled in. The girls had the beef tenderloin, I had the pea and curry soup and the two men had the...scallops. The food was very good. The Inn itself could use some repairs/paint - it is an old building. The service was also very good. Very enjoyable overall, but not deserving of an Excellent rating.More

Best restaurant experience ever! My husband and I stayed and ate dinner and breakfast here, with another couple over the weekend. The staff are attentive, fun and, truly care that you have a wonderful experience. I am Celiac and, they did not disappoint with their...willingness to make sure I had an amazing meal and, not miss out on anything. We all had the beef tenderloin and, it was cooked to perfection, exactly the way it was ordered. For breakfast they even had a special basket with a warmed up GF scone and blueberry muffing for me! I was thrilled to see a kitchen staff person taking clippings from the herb garden growing in the back of the Inn. The bed upstairs in our room was very comfortable as well. Absolutely wonderful place. Can't wait to go back!More

We were there Sunday evening and had the special “beef Cheeks” and the Creme Brûlée. Both were delicious. The wine at $5.00 a glass was a great idea. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the restaurant with friends.
