This cute place offers very nice options for breakfast. Huge servings to set you up for the day and beaut coffee to wake you up! Conveniently near the Driving Creek Railway so you can stroll down and board the train afterwards. Perfect ;)

This is one of those eccentric places that marches to its own tune and consequently is full of lovely surprises. It's cool and quirky, not sophisticated. It's hippy and clever with imaginative delicious food, generous helpings, good coffee and fresh juices and you can buy a book as well -- there's a great range of second-hand books to browse or... We ate here after the train ride and the food was really good. Hippy little place. No you can not smoke weed there even though it looks like you should.

This was such a fun side trip on our way to Colville. The trip is scenic and informative. We arrived shortly after the passing of the genius who`s passion for pottery integrated with his love of railways to give rise to such a cool enterprise. Really worth the time and money to visit here. You will be pleasantly surprised.

They have a selection of great juices. We enjoyed a tasty vegan wrap and salad options. Neat that you can browse their 2nd hand books while you're there. Definitely worth a stop if you're in town.

We arrived late for our trip on the Driving Creek Railway and they recommended we have lunch here. I'm very glad we missed our train, as we would never have come here otherwise. The cafe is very laid back, with humorous names for their food and drink. We sat outside and didn't have to wait long for the food to... More

great garden and interior, good vibe, attention to detail. Coffee was superb. The garden has a nice play area for kids and it is possible to sit right next to them and enjoy the beautiful surrounds. Really close to the railway

Best cafe on the Coromandel. Amazing food and awesome settung sitting out in the garden under the trees. Had morning tea here before going on the train and loved it so much we went back for lunch.

A quirky café with tables in the garden serves lovely vegetarian food and healthy drinks. I did find it a bit expensive ($19.5 for scrambled eggs with toast, roasted potatoes and steamed vegetables). Also the place offers a good selection of second hand books.

The Driving Creek Cafe is one of the best kept secrets of Coromandel Town - a warm and homely vegetarian cafe with a magical ambiance that may just keep you there enjoying the fine coffee or teas and delicious home made meals and cakes for much longer than you originally intended. Unless of course you're on a train, in which case we will prepare your order with much speed and gusto! You will also find fresh pressed juices, fresh fruit smoothies, and incredible homemade Chai whose recipe was procured after years of dedicated service to a Master Artisan. The Driving Creek Cafe has organic loose-leaf teas and great LaLa organic coffee. Enjoy our freshly baked gourmet cakes and scones, falafel burgers, breakfasts and a great range of toasted sandwiches, tasty beaches and salads. For keeping in contact we do have great unlimited free Wi-Fi. Allow yourself enough time to check out the collection of Mick the Plumber's stunning puzzle boxes showcasing Coromandel's unique tolerance for what may be considered art or drop in for one of our live rants. Discover the peace of our garden with a sandpit and playhouse for the children or put your feet up on the wide sun-drenched deck. Get ready for a treat. We look forward to serving you!
