If you want an amazing meal with an amazing view Point Prim Chowder House is a must. I recommend you make a reservation, but then all is taken care of. Ask for a view, most tables outside have a terrific view. Take your time, enjoy

What an amazing spot. Point Prim Chowder House sits at the end of a dirt track, next to a lighthouse on the edge of a narrow peninsula on the southern side of P.E.I. - it’s only open part of the year (closes end September) so...More

PEI appears to shut earlier than elsewhere in the Maritimes. This restaurant shuts at the end of September. It was cool inside (as well as outside). Food was okay, but the lack of heating needs to be remedied.

Late afternoon drive to see the lighthouse. We were getting hungry and had been talking about chowder for 2 days. What do we see right next to the lighthouse? A place called Chowder House. Woo hoo! Fate was smiling on us, because when we walked...More

It is a must stop if you are driving by here. Might be good to make a reservation ahead of time. The largest amount of seafood in a chowder that I have seen.

Lobster roll was very good . It will take two time to learn how to eat it so you will not loose the lobster meat from the roll. I was there for lunch but I could imagine the sun set could be breath taken ....More

We sat about 6-8 feet from the water with the setting sun beside us. The Seafood chowder and crab cakes are some of the best in the Maritimes. Definitely worth the visit.

Landed on a Saturday in Charlottetown. Drove straight here as it came recommended. Suggest you make a reservation as the place is quite small especially when the weather wasn’t great for sitting on patio. Regardless, we put our name on the list and headed over...More

We went for an early dinner about 5.15pm. The restaurant was booked out inside and Karen offered us a table outside with a blanket. When I explained that would not work for us, she, very kindly, reorganised the restaurant to accommodate us inside. We were...More

Point Prim is a beautiful area with a very nice looking lighthouse, but, Point Prim Chowder House's chowder, I dare say, was one of the highlights of our trip to PEI. I would go back there again and again just for that chowder! It's creamy,...More

The property is wheelchair accessible and at least one of the washrooms seems large enough to accommodate a wheelchair.
