Rented a boat for a day exploring. Decided to bypass Cabbage Key and headed to North Captiva. GREAT idea! Entering the harbor, beautiful flags welcomed us to BARNACLES. Easily docked and arrived at brightly painted picnic tables, a thatched roof patio, clean facilities and 4 girls who worked there who were welcoming and nice. We were the first to arrive... More

I think this is the only restaurant on this little tropical island. This is a beach bar/restaurant. accessible only by boat this will make you think you are in the bahamas! Kids loved the food and outdoor beach type games.

Was there with friends for a lunch. Very friendly people. Even it was a bit crowded on New Years day a good experience with tasty, fresh prepared food.

This place 100% sucked. Short staffed, long waits, and even longer if you actually wanted food. I think we waited 30' for a table and no less than two hours for food. The food wasn't bad, but even cardboard tastes good when you're starving.

We visited Barnacle Phils a couple times during our visit to the island. As noted in another review, it was busy around thanksgiving and was tough to get a table during peak time. That said despite the crazy busy day, the waitresses were doing their very best - though not all the folks who visit from the area may be... More

Planned our day of boating to stop with parents & kids. 6 total. Got there to eat to find out first come first serve. People were standing over tables "waiting" for others to finish. Very uncomfortable to do! 2 waitresses waiting on outdoor tables. Well we skipped lunch & made due with whatever snacks we had on the boat. Kids... More

Great food and fun for all! The children loved the ring toss, sandbox and bean bag game. Friendly atmosphere and wonderful key lime ice cream upstairs.
