We had lunch with friends at la Scala. Excellent location with a great quality food and a perfect service. Price is adequate to the experience they offer

Beautiful location for a birthday meal, the food was amazing and the staff very attentive! The mixed seafood was probably one of the best we have ever tasted - compliments to the chef and thanks for a perfect evening x

We are here as a family on our last night in Matala. Wish we hadn’t left it until otherwise we would definitely have been back. Excellent service, a great wine selection and the fish is delicious and fresh. They did a small sea bass fillet...with chips for the kids which the boys said was the best meal they’d had all week. The monkfish spring rolls were outstanding for starters. Definitely worth a visit.More

It is very sad that the evening after enjoying a variety of fish in this restaurant ended with poisoning (presumably it was some low-quality fish). Already starting to eat - there was a strange taste and smell to the food. The view and service are...excellentMore

Supposed to be the best fish and sea food place in the area - so stick to that. The pasta ain't that great. The fish are fresh and recommended. Very good view of the ocean and very friendly service.

We ate Easter dinner here because it looked like (& was) the fanciest place in town. It was a lovely, elegant dinner with attentive staff. It was the most expensive meal we had while we visited Matala. It wasn't overpriced but there are better values...elsewhere.More

We visited the hippie history town Matala today… What was already a great experience but then we had Lunch at Scala’s… omg 😱 🇬🇷👏🏻❤️🙏🏻 What an amazing experience. The owner who also served us was a delight so friendly , warm and hospitable. We had...3 course and apero, water and wine and the price was realy fair even in comparison with the rest of europe not expensive at all. The food was amazing every dish, every bite , if i could i would ordered the whole menu 😂 the view is amazing and the interior spot on, even the plates fit perfectly… A big bravo to the owner and the crew 👏🏻❤️More

Very tasty and a spectacular view. Octopus with parmesan and truffle sauce is sensational. Although the prices are slightly high, it is worth it.

Great location and great service with amazing presentation and great view. This is a must restaurant in the area if you are looking for upscale dining. We had a late lunch there and all was amazing. The octopus, the fresh Kalamari, the melitzanosalad, the different...oils and an impressive list of wines is part of the experience. Intense attention but did not feel rushed by any means.. The complimentary dessert was impressive and unique:)More

Great place to visit in Matala for Dinner experience. The Cuisine was fine and the pricing was reasonable for the dishes offered. A great asset was the perfect view that offers a great sense in the dining experience. The staff was positive and the atmosphere...was exceptional. We will definitely visit the Scala again next time we visit Matala. Recommended for everyone.More

Delicious, fresh (sea)food. We had diner and lunch for a couple of times, we ordered different food and each time it was just perfect. The staff is very friendly. We didn't have to wait. Raki or Vodka and grapes were offered to us after diner...(for those who think that's important, yes they will offer it ;-). We eat at Scala last year, this year (the food was as good as last year) and we will definitely come back next year.More

The location is beautiful and the food was good, but unfortunately the service was unattentive and nervous. It took more than 30 Minutes to get the bill. Prices are high and no coffee/raki/ouzo/fruit was offered. We were disappointed to see that greek guests were treated...differently than „tourists“.More

I've been giving that place a chance every summer. Every single time the food is below average, grilled vegetables uncooked, Fava totally bland and too much dressing in the salad; unfortunately couldn't finish any of the courses. When complained about the food the owner got...annoyed by our comment and took the plate back being rather rude. Prices unjustified for the quality of the food as well. The only thing worth it is the venue, however not enough to get me visit again.More

We ate Fried calamari and aubergine paste as starter and grilled sea bass and rabbit stew as main dishes, everything was perfect. You should try the Scala Illusion dessert, very unique and delicious.

Went here for a meal, it’s overdone. The place used to have a Greek charm to it and a family feel. The atmosphere and the food let it down. Fish over cooked, which you would except for the price, not just one fish dish but...2/3 we ordered. Staff were not attentive and rude with us when asked for things like another drink or condiments. Views and food nothing special. Tourist factory.More
