It wasn't my first time here as I am quite regural Sunday visitor. Usually packed, mostly frequent patrons. Food is very good and staff is always helpful. Carvery lunch on weekends cost €12.95 (beef and other joints of the day), €11.95 home special (chicken curry, home made burgers, chicken kiev and fish) and €14.95 for 2 course meal including dessert.... I stayed here with a large group of girls down for a shopping trip to Kildare Village. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The accommodation was clean and very comfortable and the food both at dinner and breakfast was of a high standard. I would thoroughly recommend staying here.

Visited this place yesterday on the way back from Dublin after the Munster v Sarries game. Came across it by accident as the restaurant we were going to go to could not accommodate us due to sell the other supporters coming home from the match. The place was busy but they were able to get us a table for 7... More

Stopped here after a long day of walking and driving. I just really needed something quick to hit a spot. I ordered a pull bbq pork sandwich. I can't complain. I like more sauce in my meat :-) but food was tasty. I had some garlic mushrooms on the side too. I love them! And all that not crazy expansive!... More

Always have a great meal when we go here. Carvary on a Sunday is always busy but have a good selection. Roast beef is very nice and comes with all the trimmings. Staff are friendly and helpful. Not guarenteed a seat here and sometimes there is a bit of a wait but is worth it

We stopped at the Silken Thomas for lunch with family and it was fantastic! We all had the soup and sandwich special. Leak and potato soup was great as well as the roast beef. Our waitress, Valerie, was the best part. So personable, friendly and overall just great. Thank you for making our meal even more enjoyable.
