We came in soaking wet from the rain, 4 dogs, 4 wet kids and found a nice spot out the back under the shelter. They were extremely busy but they did so well considering how much they had on. Meals took a while but to be expected when you order in a busy establishment. Staff are awesome and friendly!

Just had a superb vegetarian breakfast with salmon added. Coffee as always was excellent. Staff are always very friendly and helpful. We take our labrador along with us, there is an outside gate that we bring her through and staff always bring her a drink ... . Definitely the best equal cafe in Whangamata, equal with Blackies. El Barrios have... More

Visited this cafe with family members for a coffee. We sat outside in the courtyard adjoining the cafe. Staff are cheerful and engaging providing very good service. The Atomic coffee is served hot and it is a good coffee roast blend. A good range of cabinet food is displayed and an extensive menu looks most appealing. We enjoyed our coffee... More

Amazingly dog friendly. They even have dog treats for their canine guests, and the girls came out especially to meet the dog! Shade sails and outdoor seating. Highly recommended -Would definitely be back if we were staying in town longer.

My family had breaky there and was very disappointed with the food that came to the table - bacon and egg on soggy bread and no butter. ! and price of GF bread - too dear.

A long time since we had visited El Barrio. We called in for a morning coffee mid week. Place was quiet. Staff were very welcoming. The coffee is Atomic which is always reliable. We were not disappointed. We shared a homemade cheese scone. Very good also. Worth the effort to try this place as it is tucked away behind Vibes... More

Visited with friends over the holiday break & all food outlets were heaving with hungry punters. We found a free table at El Barrio so chose it by default. We weren't disappointed. All meals were very good & the only gripe we had was they delivered out kids meals to the wrong table. We ate well before the kids, &... More
