I'd hoped this would be a very good experience, but it wasn't! On the morning of our planned visit for dinner, we went in to check that they could accommodate gluten free, as one of our party has coeliacs disease. They confirmed this was no problem. We phoned to book, and re-confirmed the need for gluten free. On arrival in... More

Been here before. The coffee and service are great as usual. There is free WiFi so there are a few travellers sitting around with phones and laptops catching up. Can get busy so grab the chance if you can.

This is a popular cafe and restaurant which serves great coffee, breakfast, lunch. Decor is old fashioned NZ cafe with school type seats and tables. Crockery would be something your mother or grandmother would remember. The service was good and efficient. Alongside food to order from the menu they do have a food cabinet with a good range of items.

A great evening out with friends. Margaritas and fajitas, and friendly service. A lovely experience. Everyone was pleased with the food and the service. Thank you! Hope you continue with the Mexican theme in the evenings, great idea!

Great cabinet and kitchen food. This is a busy cafe on the main Street so in Jan and Feb you may have to wait for a table. Good food and coffee.

This used to be the go to place for out of towners in Whangamata. It hasn’t kept pace with changing tastes. The coffees are ok, but not outstanding. The smoothies (still served in kitchen jars – really) are more ice and less fruit than previously. Scones and muffins are adequate. 646 serves dinner some nights in the summer, but we... More

Right from the get go this cafe was terrible. Got ignored by 3 staff members before finally getting served. They were standing idle behind the counter then turned around and refused to serve, pretended to be busy. The food was very overpriced and the drink I had barely had any taste. Spoilt little brats working there, only there to socialise... More

Rang ahead to reserve a table and was seated and drink orders taken quickly , drinks arrived promptly (GOOD Margaritas!). Food order was taken and when then waited close to two hours for it to...
