Eleven of us visited on Monday September 12th 2016. We were seated in the courtyard, and enjoyed a lovely lunch, well cooked and served by a friendly chef-owner. We all found something which we liked on the menu but do remember that in France a rare steak means virtually not cooked! Lovely puddings too.

Spent an evening in the summer. Eventually got too cold and were welcomed inside. Very French menu with little language accommodations. Food nice and tasty. appears family run with a dedicated clientele.

Parked in the car park and received a warm welcome from the proprietor even though we hadn't booked, and then we were shown to an outside table. After placing our orders, we were each brought an amuse-bouche - a small glass of gazpacho which was delicious. I had the melon with liqueur, followed by a delicious steak with potatoes and... More

We went to celebrate our daughters bday. The owner served us. He was very accommodating and friendly. It's was a wonderful leisurely lunch with good house wines. We sat outside on the patio, despite the heat! Enjoying a 3 course meal prix fixe Gaillardou menu. I had the Melon with local liqueur, the steak with house potatoes, Creme brûlée. It... More

Excellent , something a bit different from the usual Perigord fare . Proprietors are obviously very proud of what they do & lovingly descibe the courses as they arrive , am not a meat eater & this suited me fine . Worth a detour .

My visiting friends booked this restaurant for us more than a month ago. The table was booked for 8pm. At 8.55 we were brought an amuse bouche. Waited another 25 minutes for the starter and another 20 minutes for the main to arrive. With the exception of the desert the food was at best average. I discussed my displeasure with... More

Hello, again we are sorry you didn't enjoy your time at our place but you had the amuse bouche quickly after your arrival. Moreover, you arrived at 08.00 and you were served your desert at 10.10pm. It is difficult to do less with the order, amuse-bouche, starter, main dish and desert and a change of table (from outside to inside... More

Visited for first time after visiting nearby La Roque Gageac for over 30 years. Les Pret Gaillardou is a family run restaurant. Especially impressive is the online booking, which we used, and taking table reservations until 2030, a blessing in the summer heat and hard to find locally. We received a warm welcome, the restaurant was about half full with... More

We enjoy restaurants where the food is prepared by talented people in the kitchen, professionally served and at reasonable prices. Les Pres Gaillardou meets this test. It was recommended to us and we would not have just dropped in. This is foie gras country and they know how to cook and serve it. Olivier in the front of the house... More

We had a very pleasant evening here. It was early midweek and there was only one other table dining here which meant we had the undivided attention of the owner. A fabulous extensive menu to choose from lovingly created by owners wife and her team, food was a delight to the tastebuds and of course accompanied by a carafe of... More

This being low season, and a Sunday, we were worried not to find a place for lunch, and phoned this restaurant after scanning TA. First good sign, very friendly person picked up our call, patiently waited for us to decide on arrival time, warm and polite. Second good sign, easy and free parking in front of the restaurant, and a... More
