I spend a lot of time camped up in my van at Ravenscar and this recently opened cafe is a good addition to the area. The home baking is all fresh - and you can tell - so top marks to the chef. The Yorkshire curd tart looked gorgeous but we went instead for coffee & walnut cake and some... More

This is the only cafe for miles! There is the hotel, which has a restaurant, and the National Trust information centre, which has a coffee machine and serve yourself snacks. However even though there is really no choice, the owners/staff really make an effort to provide good service, happy to explain the menu items patiently to my grandchildren. We had... More

Disappointingly dry (certainly not fresh) scones with a token sultana or two, mediocre filter coffee and a lukewarm hot chocolate. Not recommended.

On a bike ride from Scarborough to Whitby this is a place not to miss! We visited this morning had well earned bacon sandwiches to fuel our journey, they were delicious. On the way back our teenage son got an untimely puncture and came of his bike in the square outside the tearoom, the lady (guessing the owner) couldn't have... More

The Scarborough to Whitby Cinder Track is a great traffic free cycle route for families and The Ravenscar Tearooms are handily placed for a welcome meal or snack! Not open Tuesdays

Good place to stop and eat/rest take a drink. Pleasant staff, try the Yorkshire curd tart if they have any, most unusual, home made and more-ish. We sat outside on a warm sunny day but I'm really not sure if would be pleasant outside if the temperature dropped. Worth seeking out if you are in the area , more attractive... More

Lovely cake, very welcoming owners who were happy to share information and recommend other places to visit. Small amount of seating inside, plenty outside. Easy to park for free. Right next to the Cinder track.

Whilst visiting ravenscarr, we stopped off at the tearooms. The owners were extremely personable and friendly. Talking with the new owners, it was their first day of opening. I treated myself to a hot chocolate with marshmallows and cream. Delicious!! My partner had carrot cake and I had coffee walnut. So very delicious. My cakes were the best I've tasted,... More
