Having visited the area on a whim, we meandered around the seafront for 5 hours, eventually ended up at the White Cliffs pub and restaurant. There was a private party outside at the time, but we sat to the side of the area with the...More

Decided to give Sunday lunch a try, service was quick and pleasant. The lunch was average but could be better for the cost.

Nice garden but a bit tired. Ordered a glass of Pinot Grigio not available, Ordered Kippers, not available. Had scrambled eggs and salmon, very good but expensive.

We planned to go to the pub up the road but stupidly didn't book as its a small village. Still we walked the few yards up the road to here and enjoyed a good meal which was properly cooked. I had rabbit in filo pastry...More

Arrived during the June heatwave with our dog, so went to the beer garden, which was very nice. We looked at the menu and there was literally nothing on there that I fancied, as they seemed to have an obsession with olives and chorizo, neither...More

For the standard of the food I found the menu grossly overpriced. Fillet of plaice with a small portion of unskinned fried potatoes on top no other vegetables does not in my view command a price of £14 - £16.

This bar/restaurant was just around this corner from our rental cottage, where lunch was very nice, along with a sample or two of some local beers. It's a no frills place, which suited us just fine. Pleasant and friendly staff, along with good food is...More

Went with a group of friends. Squashed onto a table rather small for our party. Food was good but portions small and rather overpriced. Staff very inexperienced, which was reflected in the service. On the whole we were disappointed with the experience we had.

Visited for supper with family and friends during the week after Easter. The staff were polite and helpful - as our little boy is disabled we had requested a bench seat near the window to allow him to sit between us instead of in his...More

We come here every year as a little pilgramage to my grandparents as my grandfather was the lighthouse keeper at the Southforeland Lighthouse. We love this hotel. Its a very well done shabby chic, beach style if that makes sense. We normally come down earlier...More

The Cliffe Kitchen is at the heart of the White Cliffs Hotel, it's the sort of place that's worth a detour if passing through Dover. The place attracts locals who often drop in for lunch, afternoon tea or dinner with friends in the often buzzing and lively atmosphere. There's daily changing Blackboard Menu with The Catch of The Bay and more. There's also a Seasonally Changing Menu with some perennial favourites such as Fish & Chips in beer batter with real proper chips and mushy peas, 28 day hung Kentish Beef with Béarnaise, Romney Marsh Lamb, Monkshill Farm Pork Chops, Rope-grown Mussels in scrumpy and more.
