After a brisk walk up and down steep village roads and grassy slopes we stopped at Pines Garden Tea Room. Freshly made and tasty scones and range of cakes. It's also quite the little museum. Impressed by the little treasure of information it contains about the 2nd World War in these parts. A definite must!

Although I had a baguette for lunch which was amazing it was the scones with cream and jam that ade me write this review! Best scones I have had, great price and great service!

Outstanding help and assistance in planning a special 100th birthday celebration in the beautiful tea room. A perfect venue for a family gathering of over 40 people - we had the whole tea room plus the wonderful little museum - which the children loved. The food was absolutely delicious - all home made - fantastic cakes and huge platter of... More

The staff are so friendly, helpful and efficient. The place is very clean and comfortable. The food is excellent and very reasonably priced. There is a museum in the building which adds interest. Would highly recommend this place.

In keeping with the small museum here of the second world war. We had lunch here and it was tasty and hot. There is a small selection of hot meals and different sandwiches and cakes. The staff are lovely and friendly. Not a posh restaurant if that is what you are looking for but very different to the normal run... More

What else is there if you need a great lunch, quality cakes and great staff? O, I left out 'very nicely priced' and 'eco-friendly' and 'great host' and ... and ... This review can't be perfect as there is not enough room to praise Michelle and her staff. The only criticism I could possible have: it's way to far away... More

We stumbled across this place. With a vege husband a fussy three year old and an autistic six year old eating out can be a challenge. Nothing was too much trouble for them the pasta was creamy and piping hot, my pork and leak sausage baguette was scrumptious and they even separated all my sons food on a plate so... More

A charming and quirky tea room serving hot food, roast lunches and delicious scones (huge) and cake. Everything is freshly made and ingredients all locally sourced. Lovely to be somewhere that allows dogs in (don't you just get so fed up with health and safety rules smothering us everywhere else). The service is great and they are genuinly pleased to... More

Love this place, the food and welcome are equally and consistently good. Nothing is too much trouble. Now that roast dinners are on offer every Sunday, its a must at weekends. They now offer beautiful healthy roasts and have a licence so last weekend we could enjoy a glass with our roast beef. Just the best.

Wow .... I was dog walking over the cliffs and stopped for a drink and some lunch. I had their homemade vegetable soup. It really was THE BEST SOUP I have tasted....delicious. If all their food is like that (and I will be going back to find out) ... I could put on 2 dress sizes! It was a dog... More
