This restaurant specializes in baked potato variations that are quite good. It has a nice atmosphere and is reasonably quiet. It even has a fish pond. The prices are comparable with other places in town. The service is quick and friendly.

The appetizers are fantastic, the main courses are alright and the place is huge and with a really nice atmosphere, their drink selection is pretty tasty and the place is one of the few in Mazunte where you can get a table to dine without reservation.

Went here our first night. We had a margarita pizza which was pretty good. White wine was 2 for 1 and the margaritas were so good, I had two!

I requested a Greek salad which had no cheese offer I was changed because K goat cheese which its portion was very small equally the Service left much to be desired a waiter who did not know what type of cheese served in the salad a waitress who attended with her bare feet situation that leaves much to be desired for the aspect of health.
It's amazing how a waiter's attitude can hurt the night equally from the point of view of environment they don't meet the legal standards of the country of Mexico allowed smoking to people who were sitting next to me.
It's not the first time I've been back because of the quality of the food however the service leaves a lot to wish pity for this to happen

We were craving pizza, so we walked in. Their menu had a bit of a lot including sushi, however a lot of it was not available. So we ended up eating a bland baked potato. The spot is cute and cosy but the host and help is also without spice!

I used to loved this place. Rafa, the owner left unattended this place long time ago. There’s a waitress/host girl with dreadlocks who will treat you like S*it.
Terrible service. Hope this comment help anyone to avoid this place from having an awful experience.

Owner is Italian but he will get the deadpenalty in italia when he serves this pizza there. American pizza made in Mexico by a Italian. We expect way better for the no. 1 at TripAdvisor (pizza filter)

We stayed in Mazunte for 5 days after being in Oaxaca for two weeks...we were so happy to discover La Empanada and ate there at least twice during our stay. After the amazing food in Oaxaca everything paled in comparison, but La Empanada! One nite with had fish filet in garlic sauce and enchiladas in green sauce...both were delicious, creatively cooked, and different from all the other places in Mazunte where you received the standard white rice and salad. Pizza is also delicious as was the Ensalada Verde which was beautifully presented, tasty, and loaded with avocado. The service and attention to detail is top notch. Please try it and say hello to Rafa the owner...a great guy!

Friendly staff who accommodated a large group of approx 10 of us without a reservation. Delicious huge thin crust pizzas and red wine by the glass (bogof). I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a spot in Mazunte for a casual dinner.

This fabulous place simply is the BEST around in town no doubt about it.
If you're looking for low candle light ambience, cozy service and mouthwatering dishes, this is THE place not to be missed.
Please! Don't forget to order pizza!! Crispy-crust-brick-oven cooked with local harvested/produced ingredients only.

We came here several times during our stay in Mazunte. The service is great and the place is authentic and cozy. Apart from sitting at the tables you can relax in the hammocks or play Billard.
For vegetarians there is a lot to choose from. We can highly recommend the pizza, vegetable soup and the garlic bread. Definitely try their chili oil.
