Everything about this restaurant meets anyone's standard of excellence. Location, atmosphere, food, wines, and especially service. We think that this is the best service we have experienced anywhere in the world - take a bow Anna C. This was a special occasion for our family and we had four of our grandchildren aged 7 to 3 with us. They too... More

From the buildings and garden, the wine tasting, knowledge of staff, food and wine matches to the superb personal attention of the wait staff (especially Janeena, sorry if spelling is wrong) we couldn't fault Pegasus Bay. Our group of friends who had travelled a fair distance started with a wine tasting and were impressed not only with the flavours of... More

This weeks special occasion meal was one of our better dining experiences. The food was beautifully prepared and presented. Fresh local ingredients, a good range to choose from and the little palate teaser between courses a nice touch. Service was smoothly unobtrusive and attentive, just the right level of interaction. Tables are nicely spaced, with the atmosphere a clever blend... More

We visited the restaurant for a special end of honeymoon lunch today and unfortunately it didn't live up to expectations. The setting is lovely and we were seated by a friendly hostess. We both ordered a starter and a main with sides and a glass of wine each. The starters were 'nice' but not spectacular. In between I ordered another... More

We were part of an organised wine tour to Waipara Valley which included Pegasus. Their wines are amazing and the gardens and setting out of this world, worth going to see that alone. But our wine tour party suffered from what I can only perceive as a prejudiced and ignorant attitude toward people who do wine tours. We were ignored,... More

Without doubt the most welcoming and relaxing envrionment to enjoy remarkable food that deserves a fine wine. The concept of wine tasting on arrival greatly ads the decision of which fine wine to make the event memorable. One a fine day or even a cold winter one the place that brings reality to the finer things in life.

One of the nicest wineries to dine at. Beautiful surrounding, we managed to visit on a  pleasant summers day, and we were able to enjoy dining outside. Beautiful gardens, relaxing and peaceful. Excellent staff, knowledgeable, helpful and  informative.  This is fine dining so expect the prices to reflect this, but the food is beautiful with little touches like complementary breads.... More

Go no further, Partner, friends of partners or long standing associates .After our third visit, and under the most trying of circumstances, (Two days after the Kaikoura Earthquake. ) .. The way to support local industry is to do just that, get out and support it. On this occasion our guests were friends of forty years+. Whilst our reservation was... More
