Staying here for the night, so ate in the restaurant for ease. Menu quite expensive for 'pub grub' (£12 &up for main), though when the food arrived I couldn't fault the taste and quality . The big let down was the one and one waiting staff, who I really felt for. There was 10 people in the pub/restaurant all at... More

We ate in the Devonshire and This was one of the best meals we had all holiday. I had some delicious halloumi kebabs. My partner had a chicken pie. Warm, efficient and professional waiting service.

Called in a couple of times as we were staying at Chatsworth CC Site and this is a very short (15 min) walk from there. The staff are very friendly and even managed to rescue my glove which had decided to disappear behind a radiator. The beer (according to my hubby) is very good. We also ate there one afternoon... The hotel didn't really live up to my expectations. Our room was lovely, very spacious and comfortable but there was a lack of attention to detail. Towels had seen better days, the bathroom light wouldn't switch off, the towel rail fell off and the water in the hot tap w as boiling! Having said that, the staff were lovely and... More

We booked here as a last minute thing as a bit of a change as we normally go to Wales, how pleasantly surprised I was with the place, the staff lovely and very welcoming, the bedroom was outstanding for the price, loved the shabby chic furniture and decor-and the bed was very comfortable, infact best night sleep in a while,... The restaurant however was where it all went downhill the room is big & was cold, there was also a tv on in the restaurant strange!!! Two of the things we ordered weren't available and the menu was quite small... More

Had one night here and had good room. excellent food and warm friendly service. The room was a tad small but the booking form did say this . It was however more than adequate for one night. There were many facilities in the room--hair drier etc and even leaf tee. A nice touch was the large bottle of water

A bit on the expensive side, but the food is great. Dog friendly for walkers. Nice bar area with real fire etc.

After a walk around Chatsworth called in for a drink and food. How nice to get loose leaf tea and not a tea bag in a tea pot!! Food was well cooked and well presented. Food hygiene rating 4 which was a shock as standards seem high. Staff friendly and helpful.
