Only had coffee, but, it was coffee with a difference. Had little chocolate balls in it. Can't remember the name they called it, but quite interesting.

There were a lot of plates left by previous customers with food unfinished. The coffee was warm and barely drinkable. The food was overpriced for what we got. The location and design made up for it. If anything, meet here to spend some time together out of the hustle and bustle and just limit yourself to tea or coffee. My... More

Went there after having a really bad lunch experience, so looking forward to the experience, however it wasn't quite how we expected. Staff were not friendly & for what we got it was fairly expensive. I ordered a frappe, cost $10 & couldn't finish it as it was all ice. Could have got a much better one from Zaraffas for half... Best hot chocolate ive had!!! Also tried the waffles and chocolate nut brownie both were delicious, the waffles were better, did buy some chocolate for myself and presents to take back to nz and definitely worth having! A bit on the expensive side so as much as I would love a hot chocolate a day will have to leave it... More

it is a chain and we have enjoyed the Broadbeach one before but this was a nice one with all the usual chocolate delights. We loved the hot chocolate and kids enjoyed cold chocolate drinks. Staff were very nice and served us promptly.

Used to love Max Brenner but 2 recent visits left disappointment. The banana cake was dry, our hot chocolate was barely luke warm and the service slow and unfriendly ... oh plus SURCHARGE on SATURDAY !!! The place had no friendly atmosphere and oozed the feeling of unhappy staff !

Actually I thought the shop was rather strangely located because its surrounded by some of the best restaurants on the Gold Coast and after a full meal its hard to imagine someone wanting a hot chocolate (?). Irrespective, its a cosy place to have chocolate, chocolate and chocolate. It may have been a bad day but the staff seemed a... More

I've been to this cafe many, many times, at varying times of day and the service has been great. Today however, when the cafe was supposed to close at 11pm, we were told at 10.26pm that all orders were going to be prepared as take-aways. When asked why, the waitress replied that they have a build up of plates at... More
