About
Mytilus restaurant moved to a new location at Marina Blue at the Ribera del Marlin building.Our very sunny terrace has wonderful views over the marina and the boats.We have a new menu including some tapas.And last but not least we offer free parking to our clients.

We have had numerous meals at Mytilus. We have never had a bad experience. When we are just a couple or entertaining 12 people, the food is served hot and at the same time. The waitstaff is fantastic. Yves, the owner, is multilingual and an exceptional host.

Didn’t book, but liked the look of here as we walked past so decided to stay for my Wife’s birthday lunch with friends, great choice! Lovely atmosphere and views matched by quality food. All 4 of us chose the Fillet Beef on the Stone main course and we haven’t had more tender or tasty steak. Had to ask for a second stone so we could finish cooking everything we enjoyed it that much. Not the cheapest meal but worth every cent for the quality and service. We’ll come back when next in Sotogrande

We’ve eaten in the sotogrande port for more than 15 years now and can honestly say Mytilus is one of the best restaurants there. The food (especially the mussels and steaks) is excellent and the service friendly and welcoming. Whatever you choose from the menu you’re in for a treat and the wine and cocktail list are also very good. Now in a new location overlooking the Marina, we’re already looking forward to our next visit!

Terrible experience. Arrived with a reservation at 21:30 and dishes arrived almost 2 hours later at 23:15! Two of the dishes were inedible (tiger prawns with curry sauce), another dish arrived without the side dish (steak without baked potato) and despite being told it was on its way, it never arrived. Another dish never even made it, even though it was only a simple starter (mushrooms on toast), and it did however make its way into the bill, which was corrected when pointed out. The second round of drinks took approximately 20 minutes, after several reminders. The salads are tiny dishes, by the way, not worth the price. After such a terrible experience you would think the manager would have the decency to show up, but instead the waiters are left to deal with it whilst the manager has a laugh with the only apparently happy table for the night (friends, maybe?). You would have thought that with such service, the very least would be to eliminate the service charge from the bill, but no, there it was. Is it even legal? It was nowhere to be seen on the menu…

Dont go! We chose Mytilus for our last night. There were 8 of us. Our starters and drinks arrived promptly and were lovely. We then waited over an hour for the mains while everyone around us appeared to be getting theirs. When we told the waiters this, nobody seemed to care and finally our food turned up at different stages after about 75 minutes. The food was really poor. They had obviously forgotten about our order. The chicken with mushroom sauce had 2 mushrooms and no sauce and was tepid. Chips were heated up. Mussels had no broth and were dry and so it goes on. At this point we decided to leave - we were not paying for such awful food. We negotiated a price with the owner for the starters and drinks and left. Very disgruntled and disappointed. No apologies - i dont think this was anything new!

Have been two times this summer with wife and friends (and only because it was friends choice) and food was realy disppointing. First time I ordered fish. It was with no taste despite the thick sauce they put to hide the low quality. Second time I went for a pizza.. was a disaster ..! Coming straight from the freezer and not even enough cooked (good thing they did not forget to remove the supermarcket ticket).
Nothing is fresh and you may spend big money to eat badly frozen products.
Only positive point is the service. Waiteresses were professional.
All in all if you have another choice please do not go to this restaurant

It is regrettable to be leaving a negative review but hope that it is taken as constructive and cared about sufficiently to make changes. There are far too many restaurants whose kitchens are being run by under qualified cooks rather than chefs and sadly, this one is no exception. Steak ordered medium arrived almost walking off the plate, chicken with packet mushroom sauce was uncooked on one part and overcooked on the other. Vegetable accompaniment was cold as was the plate which is the fastest way to lose heat from the meal. This is all basic stuff and should never happen in a restaurant where the prices being paid are too much to excuse the lack of flair, pride or commitment to the cause. The service was good but unfortunately the rest left a huge amount to be desired. We left without a main course or dessert because if they can`t get a simple order right, the faith and trust is gone.

We pre booked a table as a family of 4 - service was ok to start with, we were served bread and ordered bruschetta as a starter which were enjoyable.
The service then became very slow, plenty of staff hanging about and only 5-6 tables in the restaurant.
I ordered mushroom chicken - it arrived with no sauce, when I asked about the sauce it arrived in a gravy boat stone cold… chicken was over cooked and dry so not edible and chip tasted stale.
Beef stew was literally beef in brown water , no flavour no vegetables and served again with a bowl of stale chips.
Pasta was far too oily to eat - never seen anything like it. We told a member of staff to take the food away as it wasn’t edible. Two out of the 3 mains were knocked of the bill but it still came to €80 and we all came away hungry.
A real disappointment - so many nicer places to eat on the marina

We came as a family service initially was fine. Food came out both pastas were awful one was dry and other was oily.
Pizza was so oily it looked like it had been dipped in a tin of olives.
We hadn’t finished ganas pil pil before they took the dish, we asked for it back and they gave us someone else’s leftover oil from the dish.
Once we left feedback about the food we were told nothing could be done because we had touched the food. The lady also proceeded to say that because it was August we should expect lower quality food as the kitchen is busy.
Despite specifying that the food was not up to standard the owner said he couldn’t do anything about it and repeated that in August food quality goes down everywhere which is unbelievable to even suggest.
We paid the full amount on the bill and on the way out all the staff were laughing and shouting comments such as being uneducated and rude. It was awful service and not what you would expect at a restaurant of this type. It was honestly horrendous coming from someone who lives in the area and will never be returning and do not recommend to anyone.

We had dinner at Mytlius this week.
My meat was overaged, to call it kindly, with a strong smell and taste.
Unfortunately I took one bite, which kept me busy for a day and a half.
The owner confronted with the situation, apologist and saw the case as I did.
My family wasn't impressed with the quality of their food as well.
I hope the owner learned his lesson.
We will not go back there, there are to many nice other restaurants in Sotogrande.

The meals were awful - entrecôte steaks served sinewy and chewy. 27 euros each to come away hungry. We were then charged for 6 covers which added 11 euros to the bill. We complained that the steak was no good but had no comeback from the manager. It was all very disappointing and would not recommend. Only reason this isn’t 1 star is that the waitresses did their best and were pleasant.

Used to be very good food, lunch on our last visit was very poor, my partner had meatballs which were inedible. Sent them back and ordered spaghetti, over cooked and tasteless. I had mussels bland tasteless watery liquid. A little celery and obviously forgot to add the garlic, no longer on my go to list.

Mytilus is part of the all-year-round institutions in Sotogrande - a great restaurant with good Belgian food. Perfect for lovers of Mussels, Steak Tartare, Vlaamse Stoof and Chateaubriand. It offers a great alternative to the more typical kitchens in the area. The staff is professional and friendly, tables are well dressed. Definitely one of the best in the area.

This place is perfect for a relaxed family dinner. The service is exceptional and the food and drinks were lovely. Really friendly staff. Varied menu, we had Pasta Carbonara, grilled swordfish and steak. All of which was delicious! Great selection of ice creams too and the coffee was great. The location was ideal for us as no noise from passing cars so added to the relaxed vibe. Will definitely be going back and highly recommend.

We tried several of the Marina restaurants but this one is by far the best. Cosy, less noisy, white cotton tablecloths, comfortable chairs, good service and nice terrace on the marina. Best of all was the food that has a Belgian flare to it. Quality ingredients, cooked to perfection, with outstanding beef dishes. Also have pizzas and pastas for the family but I would recommend their higher end cuisine dishes. Croquetes de queso is actually based on the Belgian cheese croquets, delicious. The melon with ham was covered with a wonderful tender ham. The mussels with white wine were large, perfectly cooked in an original mussel pan. The best was the chateaubriand which is a large filet mignon roast. Cooked exactly as we asked for it was sliced at our table. Enough beef for 2/3 people. Very good Spanish wine list. Good value given the prices practiced around the area. Highly recommended.
