This is a part of the hotel Le Dupleix and this place had great food to offer. This is one place where you could just stay calm and sip as many drinks you want since you know that the staff is capable of handling you and taking care of you. This is a relatively a small place and this offers... More

I enjoyed my dinner there very much be it the food, the setting, the service were all I could imagine Pondicherry French Town to be, next time I will go for a late lunch, a drink and maybe even breakfast too.

Delicious food in a beautiful setting. With a warm breeze wafting across the area, the open courtyard setting was quite lovely on a Feb evening. The staff were quietly attentive, going about the tasks of providing lovely food without intruding on our conversations etc.. All the courses were reasonably price and after the joyful hustle and bustle of most of... More

My husband and I went here last night for a bit of a break from our curry 3 meals a day diet of the last 6 weeks. We also wanted to get a cold glass wine or a cocktail - special treat! This place was wonderful. The hotel itself was beautiful. Lovely running water in the courtyard area with big... More

i was amazed as i walked into Le Dupliex for the first time. The large doors open into a beautiful courtyard shaded by this huge mango tree. I loved their service and attention to detail. I had planned for a dinner for two and they helped us select the wine, our order and recommended what we should look at. You... More

In Indian terms, this is an expensive place for dinner but the food is good. Service is excellent. You can choose from Indian or European dishes - I cannot comment on the European as why come to India to not eat Indian. One unusual opportunity is the chance to try Indian wine - quite good actually. Dinner with wine for... More

Sunday summer afternoons in Pondicherry have to be spent indoors in cool air-conditioned comfort with a cold glass of rose in hand - and there is no where better to spend it than at the Governor's Lounge at the Le Dupleix! We made a rushed booking for a group of 12, and expecting pandemonium at lunch - we found that... More

Considering the very classy travel-magazine-level surroundings, the food is quite reasonable (250-350 Rs per entree). The food is delicious, the service is great. Perfect for couples. Be sure to get a table in the courtyard.
