Visited the fleece twice in one week for their amazing steak and ale pie, in which I may add is probably for me the best thing on the menu, can tell it's homemade and an excellent sized portion! The staff are all lovely and can't do enough for you, great beer with a good atmosphere a good local pub to... More

I visited The Fleece last Friday after not being there for a year due to me moving to York. The pub had such a good atmosphere, the staff were all very friendly and helpful. They made us feel like we were very welcome and had a great selection of drinks including some fantastic ales, both local and not so local.... More

We have eaten at the Fleece several times over recent years and always been really satisfied. There has been a significant change since our last visit and it was less than impressive. The menu is very ordinary and we waited ages for our meal. The front of house staff were pleasant and apologetic about the delay but they are being... More

Having been to The Fleece multiple times over the last 5 years and always enjoyed their good food it was obvious that the management had changed on my recent visit. The menu had now been changed to a typical pub menu but that didn't stop us from ordering fish and chips. Do not order the millionaire chocolate cake if you... More

Beef was rather tough and chewy. The broccoli and cauliflower was sadly not up to standard either. The staff didn't deal with our complaint well. On a plus the beer was good.

We booked and got a table looking out to the river with a red rose in a vase.we ased could we have a drink at the bar first and this was no problem. We had a couple of drinks by the open log fire and were shown to our table. We had the mushroom starter which was delicious and a... More

To start with I thought this was a lovely pub with a roaring fire - only positive. We were seated at a dirty table - asked for table to be cleaned and would have been quicker cleaning it myself. Had to ask for menus - no childrens menu (apparently same meal as adults but smaller portions - make sure you... More

Firstly I'll start with the positives, It's a very nice pub just to have a drink and sit down in as they have a log fire in the middle of the pub and what looked like nice views outside the back windows. The waitresses were nice on arrival and very welcoming however we had to wait about 10 minutes for... More

My partner and I went to Otley yesterday for Sunday lunch and decided to try The Fleece. We always like a roast dinner for Sunday lunch. We had to wait a while but we dont mind that if it is worth waiting for but it was not very busy. My mushroom starter was really nice. The dinner arrived all on... More
